Should I replace my DIY awning? Looking for something better...

I thought I commented on your post when you first did it but I wouldn’t have changed it. I do like your modifications to it though. Coverage is nice and individual components I see as a plus. Take pride in what you have made.

Kona Fire Mountain 45% off, opinions needed.

Not a horrible price for what it is but check around locally too, summer deals are around the corner. If $600 delivered is your budget it won’t be horrible. Entry level components, brakes are better than the 30yr old rim brakes. If you can spare or save a few more bucks it would be worth it a...

    Cheap Chinese Equipment

I agree with getting more people out and about but seriously let’s have some more common sense and respect for Mother Nature and others along the way, leaving it better than what we left it.

Max Tire Size for 2016 Little Guy Silver Shadow

are you changing your axle width too? Right now you would be limited by your fenders which if I remember right it was not much. Also with a lift you would have more articulation and possibly rub the side panel. Wish I picked up one of their 6’ platform when they had them. You have a good...

Suspension wise, front and rear were torsion bars, so a click or two you have more spring for the extra weight. 73ish superbeetles came with front struts. A little more challenging but people swapped coils for more capacity. Rear were all its however Pre ‘69 had swing arm. Maybe I’m...

Try Google? *VW Beetle camping *sleeping in a VW Beetle Seriously get thousands of photos everything from RTT’s to lay flat seats (that shifter is still a pain if you roll the wrong way). I have sport bucket seats that happen to lay flat and I have slept in them multiple nights on trips. You...

My favorite vehicle of all time. I’ve had a few through the years with countless miles totaled up mostly across California and Nevada. Still have a ‘68 T1, but my last Baja went places my truck just couldn’t. Ultra reliable and easy to work on. Thesamba is great info for those who need ACVW...

    Best sturdy camp table?

+1 I have the same with the wire too. However newer ones I have seen have a perforated metal top which holds irregular items better.

    Off road lights

+1 for BD Also consider… Rigid https://www.rigidindustries.com/ Hella https://myhellalights.com/ KC https://www.kchilites.com/ I would rather have nicer driving lights rather than the flood lights. Something you do not get with cheap lights is what how and where the light is cast and spread...

So, what's in your Recovery Bag?

Too much, and mostly never use either. Always have a shovel, 3”x30’ strap and shackles. Would like to go kinetic but can’t justify the cost right now.
