How Important Is Ramp Travel Index (RTI)?

Well, we can pit it another way. Some people have a blood sugar that may normally run at 150, which is considered prediabetic, but is a concern, yet they live their life normally and are quite athletic. Others can run 100 and be morbidly obese. The numbers are just indicators of performance...

Setup time for Springbar-style tents vs. Nylon

I do love my Kodiak. I was camping in the canyon outside of Moab one time and we had a windstorm come through. Every other tent in our scout troop was demolished, with torn tents, broken poles, etc. My Kodiak was literally unfazed, and didn't even ripple. I was shocked and impressed.

Looking for a 3.5-4.5 inch lift kit. Trying to spend between $500-$1000. Anyone have any recommendations?

My suggestion is to save a little more and get a better quality lift. It will make your life so much better, and there is a huge difference in ride between the two.

    Factor 55? How about a Factor $9.99

Part of the reason that I have something similar, but not exactly like the factor 55 is because the thimble or eye can become pinched in a hard pull and collapse. That means you will have a difficult time pulling the pin on a shackle, and an even more difficult time replacing the pin. It will...

    JKU must do’s upgrades

I am going to be honest, I am a rock crawler. It started out not wanting to do anything major, but it grew and grew to where I don’t bypass many trails. My jeep, has become built for that sort of thing, because I thiroughly enjoy it, and can afford it. So, that may reflect my suggestions. 1...

    2015 Jeep JKU Expedition Build

That is absolutely a Hard Rock bumper. The Rubicon bumper is the same plastic bumper the sports use. $50 was an absolute steal.

New Manufacturer: Cave Campers - 750 lbs, $<10k, high quality

How about a camper that could be attached to a gooseneck trailer, like a crawler hauler, but with flip down doors for storage, or to put a kitchen on the side? That could definitely fill a need, for at least one guy.

TeraFlex: The Original HD JK Tire Carrier

Interestingly enough, the engineer that designed one of the carriers that is trying to compete popped up on another forum, touting all the engineering that went into it. Interesting timing.

What regular tools are part of your camp gear?

I have a complete socket set, impacts, impact Wrench, screwdrivers, Channel locks, etc. I can probably rebuild a car with the tools I keep in my tool box. For cooking, I often do large events for Boy Scouts, etc, so I have a five foot griddle on top of a large barbecue grill like you find at...

    Moby1 owners?

I see a couple of things here: 1. Every business is going to have problems. If you never have problems, then you are not doing enough business. There are always problems. The difference is, the really good businesses avoid repeating those problems, and handle the customers, and take care of...

    3/4 Ton... Dodge or Ford?

I am a Ford guy, and love the 6.2. The mileage isn't exceptional, but I have found the actual motor to be exceptionally reliable. I have 25 trucks with that engine. I had one that blew a head gasket, at relatively low miles. That was it. No alternators, quite a few AC units for repair, no...
