SOLD: Eezi-Awn Roof Rack and Awning

All items are SOLD! We've decided to change things up on the Discovery's roofline, so the large rack and awning setup are up for sale. The rack/awning combination worked great, as made obvious by the nearly three years they've been in service, but a project vehicle can never be...

FS: Overland Journal, The Complete Works (minus G16) — $360

Nope, it was being abused so it had to go. Besides, I'm not on ExPo that often and notifications are horribly unreliable. :) Email received and replied. I can do a USPS Flat Rate Box for $120 shipped, or UPS Ground for $130 shipped. Drop me a line to let me know which one you prefer along with...

FS: Overland Journal, The Complete Works (minus G16) — $360

It's time to send these off to a good home and make room for new books: I have a well cared for complete collection of OJ, from the inaugural Spring 2007 issue on through Winter 2015, everything save Gear 2016. All are once-read in very good or better condition, with the typical slight spine...

    SOG S37-K SEAL Team — $90

SOLD! Next up is a new SOG S37 SEAL Team. This is the previous gen model, before the goofy spine rasp treatment on the blade. Seven-inch, partially serrated blade and a grippy glass-reinforced nylon handle. This one comes with the quick-release kydex sheath that features a seatbelt cutting...

FS: NEW Benchmade 527 Mini-Presidio Overland Journal Edition — $175 Shipped

No worries at all, I don't mind a little banter. :) The cost from Benchmade is the $105 you found plus they want the full $25 fee for the graphics, which you'd only be able to do if you can get OJ to send you a logo and permission slip (not likely). Add in ~$25 for buying a box, packing it...

FS: NEW Benchmade 527 Mini-Presidio Overland Journal Edition — $175 Shipped

SOLD! Miss out on OJ's 2011 Benchmade holiday promo, or the giveaway the following March? I'm purging my knife collection of what doesn't get used so here's your chance to own one: This knife is brand new, purchased during the promo and promptly added to my collection. It's Benchmade's 527...

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

It might be, it'd be nice for a class-action to actually make sense. I wouldn't be surprised either way in this sue-happy society.

Subaru owners: Let's see your expedition rigs!

Subaru head gaskets are supposed to wear out at just over 100,000 miles. So is the timing belt and radiator. I was angry in my ignorance of that last one myself, but sure enough it's right there in the service manual. Consumer ignorance should not automatically mean manufacturer guilt.

Disco 2 owners question - whats this wire connect to?

Just reach up and plug it back in, there shouldn't be anything in the way. It follows the filler hose's path through that big open area behind the wheel.

Disco 2 owners question - whats this wire connect to?

Yep, it's a grounding strap for the fuel filler. If you look straight up along the filler hose from underneath, you'll see the plug it fell from just above the hose clamp that secures the hose to the filler.

Why not get the biggest battery possible?

That is sexy. Shame they're so picky about low temperatures though. The past month we've been getting into the low 20s and staying in the low 30s for several days at a time. Charging in those conditions would be a challenge.
