Jim,
Awesome trip! We can't thank you enough for putting it together and pulling it off.
Others,
It was great to meet up with you, hope to see you again on the trails.
There is / was a connection to hoof and mouth disease, but I can not find it documented where I can reference it. IF, that was the tall tale you are refering to. You have to watch out for those tall tales along the border though. It was great of Mark to lead a group through this often...
The barbed wire fence Mark is standing near is referred to as the Roosevelt Line and is sixty feet north of the actual border as surveyed by that particular survey crew. I have also heard it referred to as the “ functional equivalent of the border”. Perspective depending on where you ’stand’ I...
Teotwaki,
No worries the SWR and Mark were WELL within the setback. :)

In 1907, by Proclamation of President Roosevelt, all federal lands in California, Arizona, and New Mexico within 60 feet of the border line were set apart as a public reservation. Although this frontier is...
I will do my best to meet up with you all in the AM. Good times, for a good cause I will always adjust a schedule for. Thank for putting this together SWR!
I have some posts and pics around this site from various trips. I will reply to your email when I can get the time to provide a quality reply. Off the top though was a wow. because Sara and I were married in Tahoe also but in 1995, Harrahs to be exact.

I use a Honda EU 1000 when the solar panel can not keep up the batteries. I have had it for less than a year and am very happy with it. Small, quiet, low fuel consumption an all around solid generator IMO.
Thanks Lance. I saved the last Jose Piedra petit for an after grad. treat, thanks again for the stogies! A lot of the basic info was review for me from the EMT-B class I took in the 1990’s but the wilderness protocol skills were a real eye opener.
No doubt the scenarios put on for the class...
Well I have completed wilderness first responder and am in fact posting from the Nordic Center, having completed my testing a few hours ago. If anyone is considering this training I say go for it! A very fast paced, intense ten days. It was well worth the money and using vacation time from...
The kit I purchased came with all new springs, including the front coils. The only tough part of the install IMO was compressing the new front coil springs, they are much tougher than the stock springs.
If you can swing the cost I do not think you will be disappointed by replacing the...
Rando,
I too have a 99 Taco and after driving the Mojave Road had the same problem. After some research I went with the Slee Offroad kit (http://www.sleeoffroad.com/products/tacoma_suspension.htm) and have been VERY happy with the kit and service from Slee.
A friend of mine with another 99...
