2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

If you're able to contact the winning bidder, you should probably reach out and see if you can work a deal. There's a good chance that buyer doesn't need the bed. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

    Which truck

Your wants include "newer truck" and "18-20 mpg", so first gen Tundra doesn't need to be on your list. I say this as the owner of a 2006 Tundra with 105k on it that's in excellent condition. It's a great truck, but it's well over a decade old and wouldn't get 20 mpg downhill with a tailwind...

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

I would like to agree but I thought the new Silverados would be a giant flop thanks to the atrocious design language. Somehow they've sold the ******** out of them [emoji2369] Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Good. More OEM wheel swaps available for my first gen [emoji16] Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

    (partially) new Tundra coming?

Whatever is in this photo appears to be six lug, so you may be right given the current Tundra is five lug. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

First Foray into 4Runners - My 1st Gen Build

That's a bummer. Not to distract, but are there any details on that first gen Tundra? That's a good looking setup and looks to be handling the U-Haul better than I would have expected Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

    1986 GMC S-15

Awesome find on the tach cluster, but that gigantic fuel gauge is pretty sweet [emoji23] With that much room to cover surely you can watch it move as you drive! Can you remind us what size BFGs you are running? Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

WTB: 2006 Tundra DC Limited OEM suspension

If you're still looking for these I have the factory TRD coilovers off my 2006 DC sitting in the garage. Not sure what shipping would run from TN, though. I took them off right around 100k miles to level the front end. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Will I Fit into any Midsized Trucks? Tall People Problems...

I feel your struggle OP. I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam. Even though I only weigh 165 pounds, I still find modern midsizes to be a little cramped. My first truck was a '96 Tacoma extended cab and even though it was tiny I didn't find the cab as claustrophobic as the modern Tacoma or Colorado/Canyon...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Did you have to connect your unit to the truck's OBD port for it to recognize that you're in park? I have a similar Kenwood unit with wireless Android Auto. I love the unit but Android Auto will only complete set-up if the truck is in park, and my truck isn't communicating that to the head unit...

    1st Gen 4runner Project: My COVID-19 Build

Excellent rebuild. This will be a really nice 4Runner when you're done. I cringed when I saw those cinder blocks under the jackstands, though. I have seen way, way too many of those shatter to trust them. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

First Foray into 4Runners - My 1st Gen Build

Please...90% of this forum is truck building and not overlanding. Look at the number of vehicle builds vs trip reports. The 4Runner stays and you can keep scrolling or start your own forum. Besides that, the OP uses this truck (and his other one very well built one) to support quite a few...

"The Blue" - 06 Tundra DC Limited - Backcountry Camping Build/Adventure Thread

I just noticed the power inverter switch in the background of this. Was that a factory option on the Limiteds? I didn't realize the first gens ever got such a thing. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

    1987 toyota pickup

Cool truck. Maybe the only one I've ever seen without a hole in the bedside! Unless you're planning to do a full audio system (sound deadening, woofer, etc.) I would think the extra effort in going from the factory size speakers to slightly larger door speakers wouldn't yield substantially...

2003 Tundra/ 89 Skamper 080S inbed popup. questions about transmission fluid flush

I am a fan of new fluid. I would also consider pulling a sample of the old fluid and sending it off to Blackstone Labs or somewhere similar. If you have excessive metal shavings or other signs of impending doom, it should show up in the report. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
