    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I have a vague memory of seeing the solar gland pass through they used, not a traditional RV style. Figure with UM’s history in boats look at the marine side for cable clam. From what I remember it looked something like the Blue Sea Systems 1007 Side Entry CableClam.

    Gladiator - Good/Bad?

60,000 miles and 2.5 years in on a 2020 Gladiator Sport S (3.6/Auto) and have had no issues. Mild build with a focused on travel. Best vehicle I have owned.

I too reached out to Blue Ridge Overland right after I saw the video with Venture4WD and was bummed when the reply was that was a one-off for Chris. I ended up buying a couple of their 12x5” Velcro Flat Pouches, the velcro backs stuck to the Ursa Minor headliner in the tent just fine. Perfect...

Buying 2016 Jeep Patriot for kayak transport and light off road. Planning a 2 inch leveling lift and better tires. Any si

I had an 2008 Jeep Patriot Sport 2wd with the CVT transmission. Good little car overall, gave it away 10 years later with over 260k miles on it. Hated the CVT, but it did good in the snow, not so much in the sand, forest roads it was ok. I did transport some kayaks a few times on some Yakima...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

When we picked up our used Ursa Minor, there weren’t any additional parts needed. The previous owner had the wire harness pull from his Jeep before selling it, I wired it after returning home.

Yes, I lined up the first hole in the track with the middle lift mechanism bolt, then drilled the track for the other two bolts. Before sink holes through the top for the remaining hardware. Back on Message #2051 there are a few pictures that may help visualize it a little. I bought my UM...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I installed a set of Yakima 60" Tracks with CapNuts. I drilled out the tracks to match lift mechanism bolts then drilled holes in the top. I took my time, the hardest part was sinking that first hole through the top.

Looks like Ursa Minor's parts website have the 100, 120, and 150 struts listed again. https://ursaminorparts.com/products/gas-strut-camper-roof?variant=32226383855694

Good to be back...questions about roof racks and tents.

I don't think the Nebo is the right rack for a hard shell roof top tent. Before getting the Ursa Minor, I had the Nebo paired with a Tepui. The issues I see; there is a drop from the side rails to the slats (see attach picture), the distance between rails is 43" but the RTT is 50" wide (maybe a...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I bought my J30 used, it had no options installed. But since picking it up, I had the top Line-X'ed, added roof rack, wired up solar, installed the brackets and awning to the passenger side, ran a USB outlet to the sleeping area, installed the Ursa Minor headliner organizer, and added a light to...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I completely agree with your second point. I recently found a Gobi 2018 JKU Sport with an Ursa Minor priced at $28k, well below the blue book. The seller told me he had potential buyers look at it, but they couldn't understand how they'd use the Ursa Minor. He could have easily sold off the top...

    My Renegade BU Overlander

I have had a Renny Trailhawk for almost a year now, it replaced a 07 Patriot that had nearly 260,000 trouble free miles on it. Fun little vehicle. I haven't done any modes to it yet, but have a list going. I like the way the BFGs look, what kind of impact did they have on fuel economy?

I bought my J30 used, when I did the installed that's where I tucked it away. But you can also tuck it into the roll bar cover.

Here’s a couple pictures of the harness connector. If memory serves, the red went to positive on the battery, black went to ground, white went to the third brake light. I tucked the connector and extra wire into the B pillar.

Those are correct, I was a little confused at first too. The zipper is not attached to the backing, the backing creates the pocket that slides onto the headliner (like a pillow case, and is hidden when you re-install the headliner), the Velcro that affixes to the headliner closes off the fourth...
