An interesting concept to improve your roof top tent.

If all you were after was a tent cot, you could save yourself a few thousand and use this:

Roof Top Tent Fairings - Anyone Using them? Any improvement in MPG?

I've been thinking about mounting my recovery boards at an angle to a cargo rack over the cab. My other idea is to use foam to make a triangle fairing that would velcro to the tent cover.

RTT's and Large Breed Dogs - How Do You Cope?

Just got back from a short camping trip. The wife, two young sons, and I sleep up in our CVT. We have an 80-lb boxer mix and a 20-lb poodle mix that sleep in their crates in the annex. We keep their crate doors open so they can move around if they want to. It also gives us some security knowing...

Wildernest Camper on 1st Gen Tundra?

I bought a full size short bed nest and tried: the nest was too wide by a couple of inches and too long by about half a foot. Sold it rather than make flanges to get it to fit.

Roof top tent for a family of four which one?

We just bought the CVT Rainier for our family of four. It's 6' x 8' open. We have two sons, 8 & 10. Luckily for us, we're short and able to sleep the length of the tent, so we have about 2' of width per person. The kids like sleeping w us, the wife likes them w us for security, but you know how...

    RTT MPG Difference

We have a first gen tundra w shell. W our first soft rtt, we used to get about 13 mpg freeway on trips. Put it on a little trailer and built a telescoping rack for the tent. Averaged 18 mpg on the way home from Yellowstone. Now, we're on our second rtt and it's back on the shell. Looking to...

Premium & High End Ice Chests & Coolers Reviews

just bought the Cabela 40 qt. the site automatically added the cart for free b/c of some sale promo. the cart is awesome but heavy (doubles the weight of the cooler, and you need the cart b/c of the extra weight, haha). I agree with the comment about the plastic handles sticking out. Don't...

    Let's see those WilderNests...

Hi Jody, The supports in the rear of the shell match up almost perfectly with my tailgate. I figure if I bolt 1" pieces of wood on the top and to both sides of the supports on the inside of the shell, then I can mount the rear window to the wood. I am planning on tracing/cutting the outline of...

    Let's see those WilderNests...

I just bought a short, full-size wildernest last weekend for my first gen Tundra DC. It is a couple inches too wide on either side and about 6 in too long. I'm going to have to use metal bars on each bed rail and relocate the rear window to make it fit.

    Foxwing vs ARB awning

Hi, We have a foxwing. It was on our truckbed trailer. We took it from Southern CA up to Vancouver, BC. Lots of redwood forests and other trees in N CA up through Washington. Didn't really run into any problems, but we camped mainly at state and local campsites. Ours pretty much doubled the...

show us your truck bed trailers

One more of our rig and matching trailer. Half-heartedly put it on CL, but if we don't let it go, we'll probably take it to Death Valley this Thanksgiving

show us your truck bed trailers

It's a first gen tundra bed, same as the truck. I replaced the axle w a 3500# and custom ordered the length to match the track of the truck wheels. The frame isn't the tundra frame, but from a 4x7' trailer. We also have the foxwing awning, which is nice to stash all of our gear in while we...

show us your truck bed trailers

Thanks, this is our first trip with the trailer, and we're already tired of unloading our gear to sleep in it (2 young sons, 2 dogs). It might show up in the classifieds soon by the the end of our trip. We drove the stretch of beach from Gearhardt, Oregon north. No beach camping, unfortunately
