    Change your security lug nuts.

I also got rid of that style lock after I realized that if the key was lost or broken it would be a pain to try to remove. They were lucky the factory GX wheel lug holes aren't fully enclosed.

The GX continues to amaze me. This time in the mud.

Almost a year later and this is the current state of the GX. Dobinsons lift, Enkei RPT1s with Yokohama X-AT tires, White Knuckle sliders, LFD crossbars. I just finished the cargo platform this week.

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I built this storage / sleeping unit over the past couple of days. I like the idea of keeping my vehicle versatile so I left it open to load however I needed to. A 20L water jerry can fits snuggly behind the fridge. The main storage area underneath can fit various size boxes and tool bags. I...

    Front Runner Wolf Packs

I like the idea of a Flat Pack as my kitchen box. I noticed that the newest version has storage pockets underneath the lid which could be used for spices, dish soap, utensils etc.

    Front Runner Wolf Packs

Thanks for your thoughts about the boxes! I am trying to simplify my pack out and I feel like the smaller boxes will prevent me from bringing too many unnecessary items. I just have to see if my recovery gear will fit into a cub pack.

    Front Runner Wolf Packs

Has anyone used both the wolf and cub packs and have a preference for one or the other? I'm building a sleeping platform and it will be able to fit either two wolf packs or four Cub packs.

I believe it's just a recommendation for premium gas. And all years are affected by the dash crack.

What have you broken/replaced on your overweight Tacoma?

Core support was tearing itself apart with the second battery in the engine bay and ARB bumper with winch. I repaired that, but it's tearing behind the headlights now.

I use those Plano totes as well. You can get the black ones at Home Depot for around $15.

Can anyone recommend a sub $200 Tablet for Navigation

I ran an older Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 for the first time on a recent trip and it was plenty capable for Gaia GPS. It's got built in gps and expandable memory.

Picked up this beauty today. 2007, 87000 miles, non-nav. My Tacoma is already fully built for adventuring so this one will remain fairly un-modded, for now.

FS (PNW): Rhino Rack Batwing Awning Right Side 33200

Selling my Batwing awning that I bought new a year ago. It was mounted on my vehicle on a few different occasions, but never deployed at camp. It's too much awning for my needs. It has the newer updated pvc cover. Included are mounts for the Pioneer Platform and Rhino Rack HD crossbars. I'd be...

    Rhino-Rack BatWing Review/Write Up

I went ahead and installed it. It is difficult to zip up the cover with the guy lines and stakes stored in the awning to the point where you could break the zipper. I may store the guy lines and stakes elsewhere. The hinge end is redesigned so that the hinge is covered. The coverage is dependent...

    Rhino-Rack BatWing Review/Write Up

My new cover arrived. Here are some comparison pics. The new cover is not installed yet. The differences in the new cover that I can see are the top portion has less fabric and more of the pvc. The seam running along the top is also sewn in a way to not collect water like a gutter. The front end...

Best way to fill holes in a canopy roof?

I'd fill it with 3M Marine 5200 adhesive. Use a dowel or something that will keep the adhesive from dripping out at the bottom. I had good results when I still owned a fiberglass boat. You could also use Evercoat Marine fiberglass filler, but I think the 3M will be fine.

    Our Journey to Moab

Sounds like an awesome trip which provided me some insight on planning an upcoming trip to the Moab area from Seattle. It'll be 2-3 vehicles and with easy to moderate trails in mind. I'll keep the trails you went on in mind.

    Rhino-Rack BatWing Review/Write Up

I got an email back saying that I should wait a few months before trying to get a new cover to be assured that I will receive the updated design.
