    Casper & Outono - 2x 1998 Discovery 1 Builds

Depends on how nice it is... I've been following you on IG for a while. I'm @defender.mouse You're in CA and I'm in AL so shipping something like that might be kind of expensive. I made the mistake of tearing my carpet out years ago because of a leaky sunroof and I've been regretting it ever...

    Casper & Outono - 2x 1998 Discovery 1 Builds

Long shot but would you be willing to sell the carpet from your blue D1? I've been looking for any carpet for ages.

    Santana/Defender 110 Overland Build Cummins R2.8

Curious how your interaction with Zombie Motors went. Other forums had less than favorable opinions of them.

    Box Rocket 1995 FZJ80 Build

200K on the Disco 1, 250K on the Defender and 65K on the Range Rover. I think one of the problems with "luxury" brands is that the previous owners could afford to purchase the vehicle, but they could not afford it. A lot of these vehicles that have had problems have had zero maintenance...

    Box Rocket 1995 FZJ80 Build

The 80 series has about 12 inches of wheel base on the Discovery 1. For performance, the 80 weighs 400lbs more and the 3F makes 33 less horsepower and ~16 ft.lbs less than the Rover V8, which I would consider a wash. A 2 inch lift, camel cut and optionally some spacers can tuck 33" tires no...

    Box Rocket 1995 FZJ80 Build

In what way would you say the 80 is better than a Disco 1?

Diesel talk 200 tdi or 300 tdi?

Doesn't matter how I drive, I almost always get 25-30mpg with my 200Tdi. Anyone who says they got 14mpg in a 200Tdi has a hole in their tank. I recently added some more pre-load on the "smoke screw" to help get the turbo spooled up a little bit faster down low, which I think has helped a...

    WTB: Disco 1

What are you looking for exactly? I've been looking to buy a series, wife would probably appreciate me selling my D1 first as we have limited driveway space. I have a 98 Discovery that is my current daily driver and occasional camper.

Big Decision for my Discovery 1

Check out my thread on another forum... http://landroverforums.com/forum/discovery-i-39/rebuilding-my-v8-79645/ I'm in the process of rebuilding my V8, it's been pretty simple so far minus the waiting for the machine shop.

    1987 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser, silver $27,500.00

This is a great example of HDR photography, which I feel misrepresents vehicles and can often make things look much better than real life.

    Fast and light Expo???

Fast and light? I've certainly got fast covered, it's kinda porky though. The rear seats fold down and provide more rear cargo room than my Land Rover Discovery. It's on coilovers so I can raise it up pretty high if needed. Makes a little over 400awhp on e85.

    Series 1 Disco Engine Swap?

4L80 is way overkill, the 4L60 would be just fine and they are plentiful. So far I am planning on either sticking the 4.8/5.3 on my ZF or swapping to an NV4500 with an adapter for the LT230. Unfortunately the NV4500 is a bit shorter than the 4HP22. I'm not sure that there is room to mount the...

    Series 1 Disco Engine Swap?

The "swap a Chevy 350 in it" mentality is a little dated. Looking for something: 1.) Cheap? 2.) Reliable up to 500k miles? 3.) Good fuel economy? 4.) Parts found at any auto store in the United States? Might I suggest instead a LSx swap? The Chevy LSx motor is found in pretty much all their...

LED Light Bars; Post Up Pics

Just wondering if anyone has found any light bars in the sub 5000K range. The blue light really fscks with my eyes. :Wow1: On a side note, seems like everyone around here got these for Christmas and are running around with them on during the day... all I can see are these large blobs of blue...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

I bought a Land Rover Discovery after having wanted one for a long, long time. I've browsed this forum and after reading this thread felt a little inspired to build some storage area for my Land Rover. Preface: I'm okay with woodworking, amateur at best. If you own a table saw and a tape...
