This is a very good condition LX470 black on tan, only 91k miles, it spent its whole life in Salt Lake City serviced at the Lexus dealership. I looked for months before finding this one. All PM has been done including T-belt, brand new tires, brakes, etc. we have only owned for a few months...

Ok, so would 1.5 inches or 2.5 inches be better. I think the rack will be fine, just the height of the mounts.

For everyone that has a rack for the RTT, any suggestions on how far away from the roof the vehicle needs to be, as well as any dimension issues to be aware of when having the roof rack built. Thanks

That is great, might be my Christmas present, what do you recommend for roof racks, I am looking at getting a new one and would like to have it be the best to carry the tent. Is totally flat better? Or is it OK to have a couple inch lip on the sides?
