    2000 Sportsmobile E350 Quigley 4x4 - $28,500

Pretty sure this same rig was for sale in Utah back in July, advertised as needing some work @ $25k. I was going to look at it but it sold. Wonder what the story is.

WTB Ford F-350 Super Duty 4X4

Also yours may have a dana 50 whereas a 350 has a dana 60. Other than that, frame, brakes, etc. are identical. Rear springs may be different/have overloads, but that depends on which package the truck was ordered with. This may impact GVWR.

    Starting with stock 2010 Ford F150 FX4...

You don't need to spend 10k on your rig to go "bro-verlanding." I think you are on the right track. First do any needed maintenance, make sure drivetrain and suspension are up to par. Next is good tires, and a place to sleep. This could range from a camper shell or springbar tent all the way...

Introduction and stock rig trip advice

Don't have time for a long reply at the moment and my phone is about to die, but I'd skip arches. Moab is way too hot this time of year. Stay up high in the mountains.

Why do you always post this crap in people's for sale threads? This is cooler than some lame mercedes or volvo euro trash. OP, seems like a good deal, Subis can go lots of places. GLWS.

School me on pickups for towing a travel trailer.

For an extended trip like that I'd look at a 3/4 ton or 1 ton. (2500/3500). Gassers will be best in your price range. A ford V10 is probably your best bang for the buck. As far as rust, they all rust. Buy a truck from a rust free area if possible. If you are adventurous and/or mechanically...

    Where to begin!!!

I'll also recommend a 3/4 or 1 ton. Towing in the mountains at elevation is hard on your drivetrain and brakes. The peace of mind of having overkill on your tow rig is worth it IMO. Diesel is nice if you are towing a lot but they are more expensive to own and I personally don't want the...
