    ******** cepek extreme country

I am on my second set of the Extreme Country tires now. Fist set I sold of with 45k on them with 6/32" tread still left. I know those old ones are still being used on another 1st Gen Xterra. Ran them year round on pavement, wet pavement dirt, rock, boulders, mud, snow, hard packed snow, and...

MOD Xterra or Sell for Jeep?

Driver skill will effect alot of factors. I have left a TJ Rubicon on 35" pit bull growlers in the rocks while I was on 31" AT3s. All I had was a front locker. I drive 1st gen. I have to take the easy trails for the jeeps on 33s to follow me. Had a 2nd gen Xterra on 33's be able to follow me...

    Convince me

First gen Xterra will get 20mpg with 33's if you take care of it. First gen suspension is way better than second gen. You need to do a TS just to get the front end travel of a first gen. The only weak issue of the first gen is the steering. Beef that up and you are fine. First gen will fit 33's...

    03 xterra lift

If you want the best parts; you are much better off piecing the lift together. I personally will take 4x4 parts.com over Calmini. Granted I do have the Calmini AAL from them. I made sure they had it in stock by calling them before I placed my order. SAW TB are 10% stiffer than what Calmini...

    Kootenay's Pro4X Frontier

.5" can mean the difference of me dragging frame in quite a few places. I have a Gen 1 Xterra on 33x10.50x15 ******** Cepek Extreme Country tires. I am suprised on how well they do on the road and ice while in 2wd. I still get easy 17-18 MPG mixed driving in the hills around here.

The 33x10.50x15 have a wide tread width. Most 10.50 are in the 8.15" range. These tires measured in the 9" range. That is an 11.50 tire treadwidth.

MVUM ( Motor vehicle use map) you can pic up for free from the Ranger Station or download from the site. http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/alabama/home/?cid=stelprdb5155057 Keep you on legal FS roads while you are out there. Most FS roads are pretty tame there. Skyway Motorway is the one for use...

    2001 Xterra Xploration Vhicle

Lokka is just time consuming for the most part. Glad you got the new U-bolts. Didn't want those breaking on you. Most route the rear diff line up to the DS brake light for the just in case deeper water.

    2001 Xterra Xploration Vhicle

You NEVER reuse U-bolts. They are one time use. They stretch to get proper torque. When you get the new U-bolts; you will have to torque them every couple hundred miles until torque stabilizes.

You are better off with the options of portable generators that are "quiet like Generac. http://www.generac.com/all-products/generators/portable-generators/iq-series/iq2000 Honda and some other manufacturers make some nowadays. The non "quiet" ones are cheaper.

Need advice on Xterra purchase for friend

Got my unmolested 2000 Xterra SE 4WD for $5000 four years ago with less than 90k miles. So yes it is quite high for a 2wd. The 2000-01 4wd can be had for $3500 if you shop around with the same milage as the one posted. Can pick up an 04 for $5000 nowadays. Add ons do not increase value of a...
