Tall person looking for RTT recommendations

Late to party but I just got an OVS sidewinder, I am 6’5” tall as well. I sold a Roofnest Falcon due to feet hitting without diagonal position. I have also had a Mombasa, Smittybilt XL, and a GoFSR standard model. I like the aluminum shell models and saw the sidewinder. Plenty of room, 50”...

OVS 180 awning mounted on Rhino Rack HD bars

Just installed an OVS 180 awning on my Rhino Rack HD bars. The provided brackets work, just had to be drilled out on the outter slots to increase the span. This made it possible to use some burly electrical square u bolts. Everything worked well after 2 trips to Home Depot. I can get some...

    Bantam T3

I ended up going with 300 pound struts. They will push lid up without my Roofnest Falcon (165lbs), but my rtt lives up there. With tent it is perfect. On to rear drop jacks, wiring rear plate light, and storage.

    Bantam T3

Just picked up a 1944 Bantam T3. It’s in good condition with a few things I will be working on. Biggest challenge currently is the lid with the addition of Roofnest. Very difficult to open, with 2 250lb gas struts. I am questioning the placement. Lid opens from the side with about 300 -...

    Roofnest Falcon question

Heck yes!!! Sounds like a lot of fun! I have used mine in 30+ mph winds at coast, zero issues. I am also looking at a way to provide some cover for entry… saw a cool triangle awning diy… ran some attachments on rail system on tent and source triangle awning from place on web that does custom...

Free Spirit Recreation Adventure 55 Manual Roof Top Tent for sale

I have a Rhino Rack Backbone 3 bar set up. I am using the heavy duty bars. Rack is drilled into top and I use rack for multiple tasks, so I will be keeping that… but also highly recommend if you have a Jeep Wrangler. Tent weighs about 115 lbs so you would just need a rack that can carry load.

    Rooftop Tent Mounts

Wanted to get the Wheel Every Weekend RTT mounts but they do not make for the Rhino Rack HD bars I have. So I took matters into my own hands. Ordered heavy duty door lock security holder as they were almost perfect size. Shortened m8 bolt to 30mm (will probably go to 20mm) and ordered...
