Best full size SUV under $7,000

My vote is go find an 03-06 Suburban or Yukon XL with the lowest miles and use it for years! They are only slightly bigger than the Tahoe and you will appreciate the extra room with kids and a dog on a thousand mile road trip. It will have a lower departure angle but in reality it doesn't keep...

    Palomino Rogue

Thanks for the info! Wow it is tall! And heavier than I expected. At that price though you get a new camper instead of a 15 year old FWC so it may be worth the little extra height to get a brand new camper.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the Rogue? They look like an excellent idea and I'm curious how they measure up in real life.

Cooper STT Pro vs ST Maxx vs Geolandar G003 vs Falken

Thanks for the response. Sidewall strength is a big deal to me having ruined quite a few tires before switching to three ply tires on the rigs that I run off highway. I have the max on my suburban and love them. They do better than I thought in the snow and are the perfect tire for medium off...

Cooper STT Pro vs ST Maxx vs Geolandar G003 vs Falken

Not wanting to hijack the thread but for a heavy truck have you had problems with the sidewalks on the Falken? I drive a heavy 9k ish truck and am needing a new set of tires. It will spend a lot of time exploring the west from Calgary to Baja Sur with plenty of dirt and off road but little mud...

Homemade Rear Swing Out Bumper build

Nice Build! It looks almost exactly like what I've been dreaming up for my Suburban. The only differences I had in mind were dual swing outs since it had dual rear doors and a mount for my HiLift, shovel and axe. Would you mind sharing the CAD drawing for the frame mounts? That would be a great...

    Dodge mega cab interior length

So my '15 and '07s are 85" from glove box door to rear cab wall. It would take some creativity to make a folding front seat but if you did that a person of your size could fit comfortably I believe. Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

    Dodge mega cab interior length

I'm 6' even and spent a week sleeping in the back seat of my mega cab last fall. It sucked! Had to sleep angled to almost fit and sometimes prop legs up on the front seat to stretch out. I'll try to get a measurement this evening of the platform the seats make when folded down. No mods necessary...
