    Ford Transit high roof builds?

Sounds like a similar thought process I am working through. I just found vandoit.com I like their modular style using 8020 aluminium extrusions. The start with a passenger van. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Transit AWD build overland style-I'm back in a van

Quebec?! I’m in VT. Will be very curious what you think of the van through this winter. I’m thinking an eco boost med roof awd transit may be in my future. Had an awd express but want something a bit more modern, maybe it will even replace the family minivan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Some questions about AWD Express/Savana

Well, power is what I would call decent or adequate. The 5.3 makes ok power but the 4 speed trans sucks. When was the last time you drove a 4 speed? Lol It’s fine overall but won’t be your favorite part of the van! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Easy to add suburban springs for a little more capacity too if needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Some questions about AWD Express/Savana

They are basically the same as you noticed across all years for AWD vans. 2008 had a minor interior refresh but nothing special. Cargo is better if you ever want to put a high top on it so you don’t have to deal with roof airbags. Driver side doors was an option in the earlier ones if you want...

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

It turns back on after 10 or 15mph, totally normal (and annoying). Any ABS issues? Front speed sensors getting rusty can throw off the signal and cause ABS activation at low speeds. Mine had that issue and a pair of wheel bearing units with sensors fixed it. They recommended doing it in...

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

Prices are really all over the place. That's probably within reason though depending on the conversion equipment. Conversion vans are always a premium price, and the AWD only drives it farther up. That's very low miles and as long as it has been cared for it will run for a long time. The...

2012 Chevy AWD Family Adventure Van

Thanks @MoonMan . Nice to be sure which UCAs actually fit! I thought you had used F150 keys and that's another where it would be nice to know which exact part has worked before I tear apart my daily driver. Those Rough Country ones are pretty reasonable cost. Thanks.

Transit AWD vs Express AWD vs Transit Quigley: which one for me?

@kudzu , your van sounds like it's a little old and rough. I can see why you might not be thrilled with it at this point. I'm sure with a bunch of work to chip away at that list of issues it could be back up to speed. But it's always going to be an old van that is built with even older tech...

    Goal Zero Yeti 400 Experiences?

I received the 6mm extension cord and it works! I don't understand why but it does. I haven't run it too long but it was hooked up and running for a couple hours. The ARB was already cold so it was just keeping temp while inside my house. So not a big load on it yet, but seems promising.

    Goal Zero Yeti 400 Experiences?

My Yeti 400 (not Lithium) won't run an ARB fridge from the 12v port, but will from the 120v. I reached out to GZ and their response was "This issue may be related to a surge, which can be mitigated with a 6mm extension cord to use in conjunction with the 6mm to cigarette adapter." They are...

GM fullsize AWD Van Info thread

@njason99 I think the rear part number commonly used is 24-221948. But, with pulling out the overload leaf and losing some height, that could have length issues too - I don't know.
