I think I put a write up somewhere in this thread but yep it's a York 210. Honestly one of the most helpful mods. Tire fillups are now a 10 minute thing from 15 to 60 psi on 35s. I have it set up so when it's on, idle goes up to 1200 rpm. It puts out more air than my 80gallon dual piston garage...

As an update on Burb One.... Everything is done except waiting on the transmission now for 2 months. I went with a very reputable builder but had some problems with reverse.... Not fun to have the truck sitting for this long after getting everything going... o well. Went overboard on the power...

I'd bet torsion bars too. Mini Burb (Blazer) had the same issues with the torsion bars. He ended up buying new ones and it solved everything and the ride felt much better.

@Bret+famx7 glad to hear you're back on track! What's your next steps? Engine and transmission are in. Just redoing the old stock corrugated wiring with sheathing and replacing all hoses with stainless wrapped and AN fittings. Also need to figure out driveshaft lengths. End is in sight to be...

Some progress... Though off the truck. Work has been slammed and transmission timing has made timing not critical... Things are coming together though A few weeks ago: I got my hands on a 80k lq9. Dropped in a cam and other goodies. Should be around 400whp. Going to get it dry ice blasted...

With the 4L60E with the "upgraded parts" and a huge cooler now going out after <100k miles... I'm inclined to say just get a 4L80E or 4l65E (4L65 has 5 planetaries which really helps it seems). You can find them cheap enough (same price as rebuild pretty much) and they are MUCH stronger. I can...

Lol!! The RC lift drops the front diff ~5.5 inches and you can adjust up and down from there via torsion bar or coilover with ideal range beating around that 5-6 inch mark imo for CV angles.. The rear RC springs will lift the rear 5-6 inches depending on how much weight is back there. The truck...

Hey Bret! Well... Inaugural trip went.... not great. Got 30 miles and ended up on a flat bed. 4L60e completely failed within 2 miles of showing symptoms of slipping. Usually they let you know a few hundred miles before stranding but not this time. Good news is before that, I drove the...

I need some cheap recovery boards for snow and mud... Any suggestions?

They also make them in 2 inch thick for heavier trucks. You can get them cheaper locally at restaurant and other industrial supplies. They just work.

I need some cheap recovery boards for snow and mud... Any suggestions?

This 100%. I bought some fiberglass boards from a restaurant supply 5 years ago for $50 bucks each) (I think they are 2 in. thick and 5 ft long.) My truck weighs 8k pounds. I've been able to bridge with them easily- where the expensive expo plastique would have buckled. They've been used...

Crazy news is that- IT DRIVES!!! Drove it around with square tubing to check steering and to get it to perfectly flat ground to weigh it. Steering feels amazing. Combination of the bluetop box, crazy idler pivot and mount/gussets, crazy large pitman and idler arms, solid center link, giant...

I'll get some better pictures once this saga is all done. But basically I cut off the upper shock mount, plated the frame- and then made a mount out of an off the shelf mount and 1/4 square tube. Then I gusseted it on the front side and welded it on the back side to a (rather thick) U brace I...

Hi Bret! Awesome to hear there's another Burb on here! Yes- this is the first time I replaced the box (230k++ miles on the original.) It made a huge difference- don't know how much of it was due to a new box or the better quality.... but I feel much better with a higher end box than a cardone...

SOLD. ISUZU NPR EXPEDITION CUSTOM RIG

Damn. I usually look at these 1/2 million $ rigs and think never in a million years would I spend that much. But this one, damn, in a heart beat if I had it. GLWS! Beautiful truck!

Really getting into the finishing touches. Currently waiting for steering parts, and the coilovers, but all major welding is done on the front end..... Passenger side a few weeks ago was completed. Note on this side because of the suburban AC outlet (for the rear) I'm having to modify the AC...

FOR SALE: 2017 custom expedition trailer

I know Ron personally and was a part of helping this build happen, and the build quality is second to none. It's an amazing trailer! I would rather he didn't sell it because it's amazing to have on trips.

2000-2006 Suburban 1500-- modify for bigger size 2nd battery?

Wow that is $$$ I think I paid 80 bucks for mine on Ebay. Pick and pull... there's million sof 2500HD's I'm assuming the hard thing would be finding one that didn't have battery acid associated rust... though should be easy enough to sand and repaint.

2000-2006 Suburban 1500-- modify for bigger size 2nd battery?

The passenger rear location is the OEM location for upfit 2nd batteries on GMT800's (and also the same brackets on 2500 silverados, which with the diesel came with 2 batteries and have the same fenders as burbs) You can find on ebay the battery tray that will bolt in. (does require the removal...
