More proof that Jeep is the leader in 4x4 overland vehicles

Really! 68 pages of quibbling over what we drive? Enough! CONSIDER THIS!! Two eyes, two ears but only one mouth. Maybe we should all look and listen TWICE as much as we speak. Let there be peace. Appreciate the fact we have variety to be...

What is your opinion on the Yamaha 1200 Dual-Sport?

Dual sport "Adventure bike" have won an increase of 5% in sales over the last year, for a reason. There are a number of very good examples of exemplified here. A dual-sport motorcycle well equipped, makes for comfortable travel to and from the trail as well as riding the trail. Let the reader be...

    It's a jeep thing

Only in my Jeep I am sure I regulate the weather! Everytime I take the doors and the hardtop off, I can make it rain! The wind never blows till I have the doors off! Bugs never swam until I drive topless and/or doorless. Short of riding a motorcycle do I feel more connected to the road even if...

    Adventure Harley?

Buell has done alot to build a dual-sport harley. Still a heavy machine with the weight not necessarily in the right places. But for a buck!!!! One can afford some suspension work! But as oldnslow stated. Your about to step in it really deep!!! Harley's are great street bikes and even can do...

    adventure motorcycle show on netflix

Love the shows!! Reminds me of "Then came Bronson." The shows make me happy that I have a GSA sitting in my garage that gets used for the same thing. Unfortunately, I don't possess the fame and fortune to afford an around the world adventure as they did. My luck I'd get stuck at any number of...

Overland covers Adventure bikes...well some of them.

Wind whip I am a big fan of Adventure Motorcycles and Jeeping Offroad. I have ridden several versions (True enduro bikes, road-bikes and several Dual-Sport machines) in an attempt to find "the one" that filled the bill for ME. I agree with you Scott that they all share a various degree of wind...

Overland covers Adventure bikes...well some of them.

In the latest copy of Overland magazine (Spring 2014), Scott Brady wrote a very good editorial on Adventure Motorcycles. I truly enjoyed his investigatory skill on the latest offerings (except the BMW 2014 GSA and Suzuki 1000 Adventure that he admitted were not available yet). Great pictures...

    BMW's New Snowmobile

tkc made a track! The cold being obvious, it's great fun and so unusual to be riding over stuff you have no real idea of what's under the snow. It's great until you freeze. ....I think I am ready for some sunny days! Long days in the saddle viewing horizon upon horizon. I want to attempt to...

    Metzeler Karoo 3 Tires

Karoo 3 vs Hend K60 vs TKC on Adventure Rider.com. Be forewarned! This is a topic of great debate over there. As bad as politics or what oil to use!! It's great reading though! In so many words...the Karoo 3s are expensive for the mileage you get out of them. So I guess like most things in...

    Metzeler Karoo 3 Tires

I like the tread pattern as well and I have seen these mounted on GS Adventures. They look great. The word I have read is that they don't last long but most love what they offer for the duration.

    New 2014 BMW 1200 GSA

2014 GS/A If I only owned one vehicle, this would be it. But 14 inches of snow and subzero temps just don't mix well with any motorcycle or bicycle. They will be a big hit.

    Always Wear Your Gear

Riding in the desert always reminds me the hard way about protective gear. Cactis needles go right through gortex/textile garments. Leather is better. To trees and scrubs in the desert, bare skin is just asking for it. Cholla jumps out at you, I'm sure!!!

    Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX

NO EXPERIENCE WITH MOTORCYCLES. LOOKING FOR HELP

Beginners Bike My 2 cents worth... It's easy to listen to people's input. Don't get me wrong here. The good folks here recommend a good motorcycle. A KLR650 KAW or DL 650 Suzuki are tuff to beat. You say you are going to use it on the street as well. There are a number of Dual-sport...

    '13 R1200GS, couldn't resist,,,

Congrats! It's just the reason I don't dare ride a new GSA. I am fearful my 09GS and I would part ways and I have too many memories and miles vested in this one.....But OH Boy!!
