I have, and regularly use, a Travelpro Crew 9 22" carry-on. Held up well so far, and properly sized to fit in overhead bins. Even has a garment bag feature. So far no complaints. I got it off Amazon for $185. So far, I'm quite happy with it.

Mark, my apologies. I misunderstood you initially. I assumed you were towing a trailer when I heard "camper". I would imagine there is probably a way to hook the house batteries up to your tow wiring (which will only be active when the ignition us on, assuming the Fuso has such wiring)...

What is selling right now are minivans and station wagons that don't look like either one, aka "crossovers". The market for real off road capability can apparently only support one contestant at this point.
