    F-150 Suspension recommendations please!

My brother has that kit on his 2020 Lariat and loves it. The rear shocks are pretty amazing tech and I wish they sold those seperately.

    F-150 Suspension recommendations please!

I like hearing that. Im leaning towards the 5100s or something similar for my truck. As much as I would love a nice set of high performance shocks like Kings or Fox, I think 5100s or some of the other mid range coilover kits might do the job.

    F-150 Suspension recommendations please!

I like the looks of that Accutune, I may check that out more. And yes, it can be a big job to get the camper home, load it up and head out for a weekend. Im excited for a little simpler setup for quick adventures. I appreciate everyones input on kits and sharing their experiences, thats why I...

    Photography tips for beginners

One thing I have learned recently is this: to your audience, a good photo is a good photo. What I mean is, they dont know (or care, sometimes) if you pulled off on the side of the road and stuck your camera out the window, or if you hiked 10 miles through the snow to get the shot. Dont pass up...

Ive thought about that, unfortunately the lift boards are usually the first thing to be replaced in those older ones. GCecchetto, Ill have to call back and ask about hinges, I wasnt sure if they would sell just the parts like that but its worth an ask, I guess I didnt realize their springs...

Well, back to the drawing board on the lift system. I spoke with some really friendly and helpful guys at FWC and unfortunately the cost of their lift boards just wont fit in my budget. I really wanted to go with them, because they were so helpful and I know they make a good product, but in...

Im hoping to be in the 500lb range. Im sure someone with more engineering knowledge could figure out how to trim some weight, but being an average joe, I went on the slightly overkill side to be safe. I already found areas that I could have shaved some pounds, but I was already so far along...

Thanks for the feedback everyone! We got the roof frame pretty much finished up last night, all thats left is to trim the aluminum skin and glue it down. Ill be using 3M 5200 for that, and probably a few screws for piece of mind. Then ill cut the foam and get some wiring set up for a fan and...

Getting ready to finish the roof. Ill be using 3M 5200 fast cure adhesive to attach the aluminum roof skin the the aluminum roof frame, so any tips from those that have used it would be great. Also, ive been looking at different designs of lifting mechanisms for the roof, and it seems like the...

What a great build! Did you source the fabric and lift boards directly from FWC or ATC? If not, what was the process like making them and what materials did you use?

UPDATE: Got most of the structural work done on the camper body, all that is left as far as welding goes is the roof, front and rear hatch and a few other small pieces. Today we got the side windows fully framed out, gussets for the cabover portion, and some other supports welded in. Last...

Made some more progress, got the roof frame done, ill snap pics at some point. Still deciding on attaching frame to skin, I'm leaning towards some type of marine/construction adhesive, because it seems like thats a little more cost effective and I've read some good info from boatbuilders and...

Hugh's scrach build of small slide in pop up

Very nice build! What fabric did you use for the popup portion and how did you attach it to the roof and camper body? Also, how much does the roof weight and how easy/hard is it to popup?

    JNelson4x4Taco(Tundra) Adventure Topper Build Thread

I originally posted this thread asking for some advice/opinions/comments on the idea, and after 750+ views and no responses I decided to just go for it. This project started as many of my projects do; a couple guys day dreaming about a cool idea, sooner or later we break out the graph paper and...

Ideas for a pop-up topper, not camper. Need Help!

Yes, something has come of this idea. My brother in law and I have been putting in a lot of hours of design into this, and have the start of the frame built so far. I plan to start a build thread and ill make sure I link to it here if anyone comes across it in the future, not that there's much...
