    250hp in a 6.5 will usually result in 500lbft, which is what my last suburban had. It towed ok, and was fun to drive, but a juiced Cummins it was not.

    I've had 3 6.5 burbs, no issues. Safe to push to 250hp, but I would not go much further than that for long life if it's doing any work.

    We bought a used 2013 expedition limited, 50k on it. Been flawless so far. Appears to have a boxed frame everywhere I can see. Rides great, far less costly than a similar age tahoe.

    I've been running 6.5s for the past 20 years. With a turbo installed they become much more useful for towing. I don't see the higher maintenance cost that people typically mention. Oil, filters, really no different than gas prices.

    If it's been well cared for I'd pick it up. Worst case is you need a reman long block, of which there are plenty. Idi won't get you the efficiency of a di engine, but it won't cost nearly as much. And super easy to work on.

    This past weekend I changed oil from whatever the dealer filled it with. Filled with 0w 20 synthetic, and it made a huge difference in valve train chatter on startup.

    Hayden has been around for decades. I'd get a standard thermal unit. Need a good shroud too, make a all the difference. Fan should protrude two thirds I to the shroud. The better its sealed against the radiator the better it works.

    Our fleet of GM diesels have had a 20 percent fail rate on high pressure pumps. Pull body or pull the engine to replace. Very costly, and never happened close to home. The fords share the same basic pump. I think Cummins is using a different version.

    I've had good luck sealing up cheap air fitting with jb weld on the threads. Just make sure you don't want to take them apart later.

    10k pretty well correlates to the oil change algorithm that gm uses. For what the truck is were really underworking them.
