I went from a 2016 Tundra SR5 to a 2022 Tundra SR5 TRD OR. Think the off road package is worth it. I've used he crawl control in snow and ice and it works great.
The wastegate issue seems to be anecdotal and not systemic. I follow all the 2022 tundra FB groups and forums and yes its happened but i've only seen one verified case with a lot to people posting and echoing the same case. I hope it's 1 or 2. So far so good for my truck.
I like it much better than my 2016. Handling on the road is far superior. The fit in the cab feels tight but the center console is bigger than the 2016 but overall feels more comfortable. The technology features are much better.
That's all i got for 200 miles so far. I got a trip north this...
I got a 12/9/21 build date for mine. Dealer had an Subsonic Red SR5 allocated so i put a deposit on it. I'm getting a stupid amount of money on my 2016 SR5 trade.
Switched over to an Army Green TRD off road instead.

I have one of there ice fishing shelters and they make some great gear. I appreciate the feedback.
Spoke to a local dealer and he tells me a new model is due soon. Asks me my height (6') and says i can walk in it and the kitchen will be inside. Think single axle Discover.
