I hear you man! I'd love to make the garage a work space but I don't think that's feasible at the moment.
That's my plan. I can't own a truck and not at least lift it a little, but I want to keep it very streetable - unlike my S10. lol
I suppose the GMC crew with a long bed would fit. But it still would take up more room than I'd like. I will think about that.

I've never seen anyone remove and then replace the frame with tubes in that way. What made you want to do that?
