Can personally attest to the wife being very happy in an LR3.
Also, having 300hp vs the 150 or less in the 80 series will be a nice improvement. Still slow, but enough go even at 13k feet. My buddy in his 80 series was struggling to hold 30mph... he's since swapped in a GM 5.3.
Serious question: Can you see the right brake lamp/turn signal with the tire there? The picture from that angle suggests not, but the pic looks like it was taken from up close.

I guess it's just me. Four trips to moab, two to SWCO, one complete trip around the entire Alaskan road system (incl unpaved roads) - never had an issue.

They do but you may not need it. TC works really well on these trucks. I just got lucky that the first LR3 I looked at happened to be an HD package car.
Is an SE? HSE? Color? Is it an HD package car? Cold package car?
PPI is a good idea but not worth much unless it goes to a Rover expert. My brother had his Sprinter van PPI-d at a non-MB specialist and they missed several items.
