I love this thread so much! I'm a diehard Volvo guy who's recently found that two banks of 5 cylinders on a lifted van is pretty fun too. Haha. I'm sad I won't be able to spy cool bricks in the background of awesome van shots, but super stoked you're going off on your own. Genuinely wish you the...
Been slowly transforming this old church van into a family adventure wagon. Don’t know why this church needed a V10…but I’m not complaining. [emoji1787] Just got took the fam on a 4600 mile, cross-country road trip.
Made an obligatory stop at the Grand Canyon.
Decided not to run over this...
Well, that's good to know! Maybe 8 bottles WILL, in fact, be enough to do the body. That would be nice! At least part of the reason for considering Raptor over Monsta is cost. It would cost over $500 (plus tax…cause I'm in AL) to Monstaline the whole van. Plus, if I'm gonna be painting the whole...
Whoa! That’s more than I thought! I was hoping to eek by with an 8 quart tin table kit and 4 quarts of black. My vans an EB too, but passenger. I wonder if having all the windows, not spraying jambs, and using the same color would make that much of a difference for me? I’ll probably rattle can...
I was deadset on Monstaliner…but now I'm kicking the idea of Raptor liner again. I didn't think my compressor was up to snuff, but it seems like it's way more than others have managed with. A few more questions, if you don't mind:
• How many quarts did you use (color and black)?
• What did you...
Couldn't agree more. At this point, it's the one reason I'm grateful my van wasn't white to begin with, as I just plan to color-match the liner and leave the jambs painted.
I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a product upon receiving it, as I was with the Bushwacker flares. They are ungodly expensive, and unbelievably flimsy plastic for the price. That being said, I still think that the vans look better with them on…
Haha. I hear that! It was so hard to find an ABW (anything but white) van. I thought I lucked out and found a low-mileage, Toreador Red church van. First order of business was getting the giant letters of the sides/back. Turns out cutting/polishing and even wet sanding did nothing. The letters...
This looks really good, man. It's crazy how much changing the color from the ubiquitous white does for the appearance. Good work! Sounds like it was a LOT of it too…
I’ve got my l-track in and fabbed up the mounting brackets for my Transit seats. But, they don’t quite sit over the plastic DS wheel well covering. I’d like to trim the plastic and find a PS wheel well carpet to flip for DS...but can’t seem to find it anywhere without the rest of the carpet...
