The problem is that too many people show no respect for the land and damage it by going off trail and throwing trash everywhere. Look at how much trash Jerry has picked up and packed out over the years. If the abuse of public land continues eventually there won't be much public land available...
Thanks for taking the time to take us along on your travels. Really enjoying the places you go and adding many to my to do list. Do any of these plaques give any information on what some of the symbols in the petroglyphs mean?
I agree completely. Jerry, the more Alaska pictures you give us the more I'll want. I look at any and all things Alaska and my first trip is planned for August.
My Tremor sits in an outside garage on my rock driveway. I had to dig two trenches a foot deep and the length of the garage to get it to fit without scraping the roof.
I bought a 21" Ford F-250 with Tremor package after driving Rams for 28 years. I had planned on getting a Powerwagon but as you said, the back was just too tight for 3 large dogs and I couldn't get past that dial shifter.
So far I really like the Ford except for the crappy mpg's, but I expected...
My newfie mix is the same way. Every time we walk in the snow I have to stop every so often to clean out her pads as they fill up with ice balls. Tried a pair of booties on her, but she wasn't having it, so we continue with stop and clean. My other two dogs are completely unbothered by it and...
I have a '21 F-250 with Tremor package and so far it's been great. I did a 1,034 mile day when I went to pick up my Kenai and it was very comfortable and a great highway cruiser. Was very stable with the camper, but I will probably install a rear stabilizer before our Alaska trip.
Really sucks not to be able to trust your truck, when it is essentially your home. Hopefully this will resolve the issue and the trip will continue without problems.
By the way, did you get a new camera? Your recent pictures seem much better than in the past.
My dogs always gain a few in the summer as they don't get the long walks due to the heat. Winter comes and the pounds drop off and they are much happier. The colder the better.
I'll bet moving all that stone was a real workout, especially with that bad hip. Hope it doesn't cause you too much pain and you can duck that replacement for a long time.
Just love your upbeat and positive attitude. Wish I could adopt some of your positivity for myself. Good on you, once again, for helping out another person in need of a hand. You've earned yourself a few more Karma points.
Over on the Ford Tremor forum they're talking about 7 months or more to get a truck and even having orders cancelled or come in missing items that were paid for. I got lucky and ordered mine a few months before this mess started and paid 6k under msrp and got the truck in about 4 months.
I ran a landscaping company for forty years and the amount of flats I got was staggering. My worst year, I got 17 flats on my truck and trailer, so yes, I always carry a spare.
