How Does a Lifted Van Ride?

Very interesting. I don’t do any hard wheeling so I don’t really “need” the crawling capabilities of the Jeep. In reality I do mostly flooded city streets (up to 2-3ft of water), dirt/fire roads, and mild hill country of Texas.

How Does a Lifted Van Ride?

I drive a Wrangler Rubicon now, and I’m considering a van for all impractical purposes, lol. I’m wondering how something like a 4x4 Ford Transit with a lift rides compared to a Jeep as a daily driver. Do you have experience with both?

    Bronco.

If they do in fact offer a manual transmission I may hold out.

Thanks for the reply. Does add a layer of consideration to my thoughts.

2020 Expedition Max vs. 2020 Land Cruiser

I’m not finding much in terms of expedition-specific forums; I’m not very knowledgeable of the expedition’s aftermarket in general. I also don’t see that the expedition has any sort of air suspension, so I’m wondering if there are lift options out there for the expedition to gain some ground...

2020 Expedition Max vs. 2020 Land Cruiser

Thanks. No immediate plans to tow anything. Main use would be daily drive, road trips, camping with ability to sleep inside, and light off road fun. No towing in immediate future.

2020 Expedition Max vs. 2020 Land Cruiser

I’ve been looking really hard at a 2020 Land Cruiser for next year but one of the things that has always bugged me for the price is the terrible gas mileage and somewhat dated interior. For just a bit cheaper you can get a fully loaded 4x4 platinum or king ranch expedition. i know with Toyota...

Don’t mean to derail the thread but has there been any solution for a WK2 lift?

    Farewall Land Cruiser?

I noticed the 2020 LC Heritage edition is on Toyota.com Does anyone see this as a sign in either direction, go out with a bang, or it’s not really over yet? It a little strange to me that they release this iteration after how many years of the same trim?

    2020 Defender Spy Shots....

The new Defender could be the unicorn I’ve been looking for, if it indeed checks all these boxes: 1. Truly capable off-road (no rock crawling) 2. Luxurious interior 3. Manual transmission 4. Sub $60k MSRP 5. Nice ride on pavement I do like my JLU but it’s loud, kind of cramped, and sort of...

    Halley - '17 WK2 Trailhawk Overland Build

Sorry if you've already stated it elsewhere, but what did you do with the spare tire? I really enjoyed the comfort of my '17 WK2, but I wasn't willing to invest in what it needed for me to feel comfortable overlanding in it. It's a great vehicle though.
