Well, my friend took the plunge...Z71 2004 Suburban for Overland/Off Road. Build test video and walkaround inside!

That was pretty good. I can definitely understand the fear, that was some pretty steep and rocky sections. Couple that with inexperience, that can be scary. About the only thing that I might recommend would be more experience. That was a good video, I definitely liked it. You absolutely have to...

    Looking at a 1994 3500HD with Monroe 4WD Conversion

That is a lot of axle. It sounds like what you’re thinking about would be a big project no matter where you started. I put 5.13s in my suburban specifically because of the no power house 350, with 37s. 65 mph is about as fast as I like to go anyhow. I’ve been running these for about 3 or 4 years...

1992 Dodge W250 Cummins / VW Vanagon Abomination *MAY CAUSE BLINDNESS*

As others have pointed out, this is ugly, but very very cool. Bar napkin or not it looks like you have actually thought this through. I like it.

    Suburban/Tahoe(and GMC) pic/build thread

I have nearly 300,000 on mine. Eng, trans,t-case are original to the truck. I usually make sure that it has oil and coolant, then run it hard. This truck has been very reliable no matter what I do with it.

    Suburban vs suburban

I have an 87 and a 97. Skip the carbed truck. If it has rust you are going to have a lot fun getting it all.

    17 inch vs 18 inch

I do have way more body roll than I used to, not because of my tires. I run those at 40 psi. Side walls are pretty stiff, even aired down to 25 they don’t squash much. When I went crossover steering I had to remove my sway bar. I can still run up our windy canyon highway at 50. Anyway, I got...

    17 inch vs 18 inch

I’ve been running 37x17s for over a year, haven’t really noticed any problems. It’s not a race car, it’s a truck. That been said, I do know what you’re saying. I just haven’t had any problems.

    17 inch vs 18 inch

When I was shopping for new wheels I wanted to stay steel, 17in was big as you go. Unless you have somebody custom build them. And steel is a whole lot less expensive.
