Thanks for the correction. Yes, I’m referencing overall consumer rating. The actual reliability rating of Ram HD vs GMC is -2 pts; both rank “great” for reliability, according to JD Power.

For another perspective, take a look at JD Power surveys just released for 2021. Looking at model level by segment, owners ranked their GM trucks/SUVs higher than any other brand. Here’s a summary and link to the results.
Full size heavy duty truck:
#1 - GMC Sierra 2500/3500
#2 - Chevrolet...
Ten years is a good run with the truck. Though I haven’t commented, I have read this thread thoroughly. One year ago it inspired the purchase, and now build, of a 2013 Sierra 2500 HD. I hope to see another full size GM but sounds like you may have exhausted that route….
All the best!
I’m not a suspension geek so disregard but I have a truck with similar weight camper and use just lower Stableloads. I am at max GVWR with camper, gear and family. Are you at or above max payload?
The difference is significant. Rear sags too much on a leveled truck and wallows when not engaged...
Creative set up! I have a SoftTopper on my GMC 2500 and love it; about as flexible as a cover can get. Do you worry about gear bouncing out or “walking” away?

Lucky8 seems to have Mantec Sump guards in stock. Rovers North also has them.

Nice looking G! Everything you need and nothing you don’t. I wish the G fit our family better because they are great for overland and trail. GLWS.

Perhaps you misunderstood. I’m not knocking the price; just chose not to comment. I’d take the Chevy with a 350, if you’re asking my opinion! [emoji106]

2006 LR3 SE mostly stock with almost 170k miles.
Long list of receipts from the PO; about $18k. Owned it for 6 months and planned to do more mods but stuck in repair mode.... Besides it performs well off-road in stock form.
Fixed passenger side sunroof drain, windshield cowl and added a home...
Congratulations on the adoption! We’ve adopted 2 boys (not together) and never looked back! Our LR3 7 seater fits the family well with 3 kids in the 2nd row. PM me anytime for adoption or safe, narrow car seat recommendations.
