You can pick up a nice used V-Strom 650 also. They're comparable as far as abilities on/off road, but a FRACTION of the price ($3k-$5k). Gets you on the road, then you can decide what exactly you're looking for. May end up being just what you need!
Nope don't have any other pictures. I was surprised I had that one. I was sure I had some with the saddles, but nope.
The sit on top kind are usually wider that the enclosed ones, but I bet with 58" bars you could make it work.
If you put these on the crossbars it'd add some protection for...
This was actually with the factory rails and crossbars, no aftermarket parts. It worked, it was just more time consuming to get them on and off vs. the saddles.
I will say with the kayaks sitting in the saddles, they act like sails when you get a cross wind. We went through a pretty good wind...
We actually used the saddle style carrier for 2 kayaks on our 4-runner. A 14' and a 13'. I know you said your not thrilled about that, but it worked great for us, never had any issues.
Found a picture from the way we carried them home when we first got them.
I'll see if I can find one with...
I know it's all a matter of personal opinion. But, I love my 255/85's. I'm running King coils in the front and they seem perfect. I didn't realize how nice they were until I went down a really rough road with them and could tell the difference. I'm down in Montrose, CO a lot. You should go for a...
So, this time I saw you on the east side of Flagstaff pulling in to the Maverick gas station. This was last Friday 8/9.
I don't see people I work with or I'm related to out on the road as much as I see you!!!
Small world. I think we're going to have to meet up on purpose...
I saw you just south of Rico, CO on July 5th. Fairly early in the morning. I was in a blue 4 door Tundra with a flip-pac. I was pretty shocked to see you in that area since I'd been following your build. Definitely one of a kind!
I LOVE my '09 Wee! I even have the same color as Cody1771.
I bought the bike based upon price and function. Originally I hated the looks, but it's grown on me every day.
30,000 miles later, and I have had zero problems with it. LOVE IT!
An amazing bike on pavement, a grin ear to ear in...
You said you were getting glare from your lights when they were mounted on the roof of your cab. Was the glare coming from the engine hood? I have been trying to talk myself out of a light bar right above the windshield because I am worried the hood will blind me with it on.
LOVE IT! Let's face it, the double cab tundra isn't a "tight-trail" crawler, so I'm not worried about "approach" angle. I wanted a stout bumper for a winch and to protect the front of the truck.
It does an awesome job! It's also nice when I'm working on the engine, I can kneal or stand on the ARB.
I'd like to. I'm collecting info, but I'm not around a computer as much as I used to be. Trying to do things right the first time so I'm at a snails pace right now.
No snorkel yet. Hahaha...
Quite a few ideas bouncing around in my head though. :)
