Big battery charger / small generator. Looking for solution to not overload generator.

Thanks for the replies. Generator arrived and it does the job ..... kind of I had hoped to charge the battery at a fixed 13.8 volts (charger has an adjustable setting) but it overloads the generator. But I can charge at 13.58 volts which gives me a 48 hour resting voltage of 13.32 which I think...

1st pic with it on 6x10 trailer. Second is my crude photo shopped idea that would have some added on fibreglass panels

Big battery charger / small generator. Looking for solution to not overload generator.

I have a Power Max PM 4 60 Amp charger that am going to use to charge my 100 amp Fortune lithium 12 v battery. Besides shore charging I would like to use the same charger to charge from a Westinghouse 1200/1000generator. This would overload my small generator so I was wondering if I could use...

    Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon

Thinking that someone maybe was considering making a kind of a cabover insulation retrofit with xps foam board or someone building DIY from scratch and wondering if micro DC a/c would be enough I thought I would post this.. I am not trying to be an expert. Not really sure how a pop-up would...

    Rigid HVAC Micro DC AirCon

A person can check the heat transfer of their small camper or maybe check the cutained off cabover section with a kilo-a-watt meter and small 110 volt electric heater that has a thermostat. You could raise the interior temperature of the camper to say 20 F degrees above ambient . Heater needs to...

    Northstar tc800 roof rebuild ?'ss

Increasing the styrofoam thickness will increase stiffness and strength of the roof. If the original was 1" foam board even 1 1/2 " would make a big difference. If you can't increase the thickness you should put thicker plywood than the original on the bottom even if it means going a bit...

Werner. Want to share any info on that 3 stage pop up in your avatar pic? Is it diy or manufacture built? Thanks

    Northstar tc800 roof rebuild ?'ss

Maybe too late but for stryrofoam(extruded polystyrene ) glue you can use any of the polyurethane glues (Gorilla and others) You will need to clamp though as it has some push to it. Epoxy with a filler mixed in will also work well with less clamping pesssure. A good plywood bond to stryro is...

Hardside camper on truck bed trailer

If it’s versatility you want it’s hard to to beat a camper that fits your truck and also fits a properly sized utility trailer that has removable sides. Although mine is a custom camper that I built from the very beginning to fit both truck and trailer You could search around for the perfect...

What do you put between your camper and truck bed?

My experience with Formular on a narrow floor camper (Northern Lite 6"10') is that it will eventually compress under the front corners of the camper. The foam board I was using was Formular C300. I then switched to a heavy duty truck mat material available at Princess Auto (Canada) which I...
