Composite materials would have a tremendous benefit over wood especially here in South Texas. Composite materials are impervious to rotting, humidity, and salty marine environments. I'm not sure where you live in Texas but most trailer manufacturers build these trailers for a customer base...
Very risky move putting a large down payment down on a trailer with a large lead time these days. I sure hope most of these quality builders make it through this but I think some will be insolvent soon. I sure hope Teton X makes it through as I am waiting to see their upcoming composite hybrid.
I love the design of the overkill camper. I haven't been able to get them to reply to an email in over a year though, which in this industry is a very bad omen when you would be sending them a large deposit.
