Looks fun. I was planning to head south for quail this yr but drew an aoudad hunt. Couldn't really swing the time off for both trips, and the aoudad trip was pure luck to draw. But this year it's on. Gambel's, scaled, and mearns.

Sage grouse are probably my favorite bird hunt. Planning already for next years sage, blue, and sharptail hunt. I'd like to take all 3 over points in one trip. Should be easy to do in 4 days.

Stoeger M3020, not sure if they make a youth version. They're lightweight and work well from my experience. Not a looker, but functional.

What model are you going with? Single or DT's? Case colors or silver? Theres a two barrel set (20ga and 24ga) on guns international I've been drooling over. I love chukar hunting. They usually cooperate for the dogs. I've had hell with sharptails this year, real jumpy.

So far with the Aspire I've bagged blue, sage, and sharptail grouse. I've missed a couple of huns too...but I'd probably do that with a 12ga (they're rockets). I also took a tumble with it chukar hunting so its officially broken in. I think F.a.i.r makes a fine shotgun on par with other Italian...

Good looking 28ga. I picked up a Franchi Aspire 28ga (made by F.A.I.R.) this past spring. Its my first 28 and I'm digging it. I plan on using it for just about everything. Taking it for a walk on Wednesday for blue grouse. The season is here, good luck upland hunters!

Might look at the first lite upland hunting pant (name escapes me). Its not waterproof but dwr treated. I love the kuiu attack pant, and if youre no busting brush/briars, they are all I hunt in. They also shed water well.

I just got my 3rd brittany. Got a 9yr, 8yr, and 12wk old britts. This year is going to be nothing but birds for me. Sharptail, sage, blue grouse, chuks, huns, and an assortment of quail. I've drifted away from bird hunting the past 3yrs, but im knee deep again.
