Since you reminded me - I bought one of the Sofirn lights and I love it.
I am a little concerned about the reliability of the cell connections with the rotating action. Already I have seen that the cells were not balanced when I took it apart once, but after balancing them manually and closing...
To add, I got to see a Goal Zero today and when medium to bright it's nice, but when dimmed I would want warmer. I'm getting one of the BLF LT1's. You can set them up to change color temperature automatically as you change brightness, which sounds perfect.
While I appreciate the suggestions may I gently steer this thread back to warm white is an absolute must? If the advertising blurb or personal reviews do not give me a clue as to the color temperature or at least the words "warm white" then I don't want to risk it. I already have several LED...
Interesting... I found another site with a marketing photo reporting 6500K cool white, 4200K natural white, 3000K warm white. I didn't have a particular budget in mind, but this one is a bit expensive to buy sight unseen. At half the price I might take a punt on the Goal Zero.
Hi
I am looking for a lantern with warm white color LEDs, 2700k preferably. Everyone tells you the color temperature when you're buying bulbs for home, car etc. but everyone seems more focused on lumens for camping. Warm white is an absolute must and most products don't tell you.

I am aware of only two for sale in the US right now, one X1-N on this forum in NC but the seller will...
The inTech is too tall if you add a roof tent (as mentioned, we want to be in a tent rather than inside a trailer). Thanks for the suggestion though.
As for the Turtlebacks, they look fantastic but I am still struggling with them having no fridge slider. The fridge is an expensive item to leave...
Thanks for the continued suggestions. I am probably more than half way towards deciding on the Patriot. The Off Grid is nearly there but I particularly valued Ali's comments about sink next to stove. I hadn't thought of that but now you've mentioned it I totally agree. The Opus is probably the...
Thank you, I will check them out. As far as lead time is concerned, that's not really a big deal. Unless I get something in a very few weeks then it won't get used until at least April anyway. It's my own time that is scarce, and I can take a little time to make a decision.
(and yes I am aware that I have just raised the possibility of towing a Patriot Camper with a minivan - a perfect illustration of where my life is and where I want it to be :))
