2002 ProVan Tiger, 6.6 Dirtymax, Allison, Grand Junction CO

This is different but not my cup of tea. I understand why this has been given wider wheels and tires but the 6" lift isn't a good idea by my 64,000K Tiger driving experiences. Like this one, mine was a dually, I hated the skinny tires on soft surfaces and converted to SRW's. Method 305 NV/HD and...

    Four Wheel Camper Webasto

A very worth while conversion IMO. My FWC Hawk had that noisy, battery draining, propane sucking wall unit. My current RV has an Espar diesel unit. Night and day difference. Other than derating the burner for 3,500 ft. plus elevations, the little Espar as been excellent for 4+ years. I never...

Official Test Results: Five Ways to Heat a Tent

My RV has a Espar diesel heater. I derated the burner with their kit(a lower flow pump) for above 3500 ft. elevations. It still is amazing how much heat for so little fuel.

I haven't got any detail photos. Metal bumper with swing out tire carrier and Aluminess box is factory Tiger. I added an old wire milk crate to top of box and I swap between carrying a Trasharoo or traction pads on the spare. FYI, newest Tigers have a much improved design built by Aluminess...

2002 Provan Tiger GMC 3500 4x4 Dually Diesel $85K OBO

My stock Ram 1 ton next to a 90’s GMC 3/4. No lift on mine but 33.5” tall tires. Reference the driver mirrors, the 90’s 3/4 ton Tigers are short.

    Thoughts? Expedition camper 135k

Reading the spec’s makes me wonder what this weighs when loaded. I would never take this off pavement.

Much more robust suspension componites and level compensating air bags. Huge tires and wider track helps too

2002 Provan Tiger GMC 3500 4x4 Dually Diesel $85K OBO

COG is already bad on hardsided campers. 1ton suspensions are max'd and lifting makes it worse. BTW, 4WD does not make these offroad vehicles. Go to truck camper forum and see how many recommend a lift. https://www.truckcamperadventure.com/forums/forum/truck-camper-forums/

2002 Provan Tiger GMC 3500 4x4 Dually Diesel $85K OBO

My Tiger/Ram3500 was a dually. Front axle got Yukon manual hubs (non- dually) and rear I just directly bolted new wheel on. Wheels are 4,500lb. rated Method NV/HD, tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler F equivalent 3,900 lb. rated. The rear wheel flares are narrowed and reinstalled as they came off...

Bronco Killer: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 470HP 392 CONFIRMED for 2021 Q1 sales.

I read the axle housings are beefed up D44’s with 3.73 gears and CVC joints. Transmission (auto only) and transferase with have higher gears , no Rubi 4 to1 T.C. I have heard said MPG and high speed handling is why 33” tires. My guess is the 392 will average 14/15 at best based on my JLR. I get...

Tire Talk: Load Range vs Load Index

My Method NV/HD and Nitto Ridge Grapplers 305x65r18 "F" have 55,000 on them and look good for another 10 before I replace the tire. I did a dually conversion on my 11,200 lb. Tiger/Ram3500 diesel 4x4 and could not be happier with these wheels and tires. Never had an issue aired down or running @...

The 392 470HP/470TRQ puts the Wrangler out of balance with the rest of the running gear. It's just going to break ******** or run out of fuel.

HP premium fuel gulping V8's where cool back in the day on the boulevard. Not today and not needed in a off road Jeep. I will be keeping my JLR V6, plenty of power.
