    $110k 4runner

I am guessing he not too serious about selling it.

    Mt Shavano, Colorado

I drove up a trail up to Mt. Shavano many years ago. There was an old abandoned cabin somewhere up near the top. I wonder if it still exists? A friend and I went to a lower elevation and camped out at campsite just off the trail for the night. Nice Pictures.

Hemi Wrangler or Gladiator or both?

In all likelihood, it is one of the concept vehicles slated for Easter Jeep Safari before it got cancelled. Probably never see it in production. Been waiting for the 2020 EJS Jeep Concept vehicles to surface. Hopefully there will be more that see that light of day.

When did mountain biking become so specialized!

What is the difference between a Gravel Bike and Mountain Bike? I have never heard of a Gravel Bike until now. Showing my age I guess.

¿What tire size do you wish existed? But does not.

33x11.50x15. 285x75R16 is close in size, but I think a 15 inch rim is better suited to my TJ.

    Gladiator XMT

Slightly. The picture has me rethinking the Gladiators overall length for going on the trails. I see Tacoma’s on the trails in Colorado all the time.

    The truth about most RV's.

RV ownership? No thanks. I don't think I have ever taken a trip that I didn't see at least 2 RVs broke down on the side of the road with the owner looking around like what do I do now.? A friend of mine traded in his pickup/5th wheel combination on a pusher motor home. The first year of...

    Farewall Land Cruiser?

The Land Cruiser will continue to be sold in the US.......as an LX. What or if Toyota decides to replace their Land Cruiser nameplate with, in the US remains to be seen. If they do it at all. My opinion.

    Kitanica pants review

I have never actually seen Kitanica pants in person. I have been on their email list for some time. The pants strike me as overpriced and mall rated. I think there are better pants with better value than Kitanica. Based on my experience, having had similar style pants for work that easily...

Dry fire for improving shooting accuracy

Something I was taught by one of our instructors for live fire is to load dummy rounds in the magazine with live rounds, 2-3 at random. This sure helps me break the anticipation habit that seems to creep in on me.

We Explore Clear Lake near Silverton, CO

I have been there a few times. It is a great in and out trail and the scenery at the end is worth the drive up.

New Electric Rivian Truck To Challenge Land Rover

I see it as 200 miles out and 200 miles back. I suspect Moab doesn’t have charging stations either.

    Bridger Teton Bear Attack

Curious as to why the Glock didn’t fire and what model it was. I always thought a pistol of standard calibers would be pretty useless in stopping a bear attack. I would think you would want to carry a shotgun with rifled slugs.

Is there a bad year for the 4 runner

I would steer clear of the 2nd generation. The 3.0 V6 was not one of Toyota’s best ideas, under powered and head gasket problems.

    Info on 1998 land cruiser

Realistically for a daily driver? I would say this depends on how much you are willing to spend for gas. Land Cruisers are great vehicles, but are not known for their fuel efficiency. Something to keep in mind if you purchase. I own a Land Cruiser myself, but don’t DD it, it is more of a weekend...

    Tru Spec 24-7 Xpedition Pants

I have some Tru Spec 24/7s that I wore for work. They aren’t the xpedition style, but otherwise, same design. Very comfortable, and I like the design. I have several pair of these pants and have worn them for the last several years. They are very durable. The only problem I had was the elastic...

When did this 'shop won't touch a tire over 4yrs old' stuff start?

Just last week I wanted to get the tires rotated on my Jeep by a new Discount Tire store that just opened up. I was told nope, they are too old. Never mind the fact they are in great shape, plenty of tread depth, and no cracking. So I went to the Jeep dealer, got them rotated, with no bs, for...

    200 Series Newbie Questions

    1. The 200 is viable for overlanding in stock form. The only change I would make would be to upgrade the tires. I don’t think you would have to do much to it to make it comparable to the Tacoma’s you are referring to. Mild suspension upgrades, better tires. Bumpers? Not really necessary given...

    Hanging pocket/storage/camping organizer source?

Another suggestion, you might check Law Enforcement supply catalogs. They usually sell organizers that hang on car seats and in patrol units. You may find something that might work with a little modification. Galls catalog is one I would take a look at.

    Tire Bed Mount Question

If I remember correctly, back in the mid to late 80s Nissan Hardbody pickups that had the 31” tire option had a spare tire mounted on the forward panel, left side of the pickup bed. Roughly similar to what Cletus26 is showing above. If I was to get a Tacoma, I would try to fab up a spare...
