    Which EV would you buy?

It has a hybrid mode. There is a gas only mode, an electric only mode and then a hybrid mode. Rated at 50 mpg equivalent. It does seem overly complicated for FCA but I appreciate their effort. Meanwhile Toyota, who is the king of hybrids, just adds new colors to the 4runner/Tacoma. 4xe makes me...

    Which EV would you buy?

Wrangler 4xe PHEV drops Thursday with availability in December. I wish more companies were investing in PHEV models.

Nissan to Nissan: traded my X for a V8 Pathy

I recently finished a trip in a 07 V6 Pathfinder from Washington to Kansas with three adults, two dogs, and some extra stuff because I was moving. I have a hitch rack though which really opened up the interior space. Spent about 3 days on BLM/forest roads and the stock ABLS proved sufficient...

Thoughts on the current generation Armada / Infiniti QX80

My local dealership (Olympia, WA) is running a little over 10% off MSRP right now on their Armadas.

Thoughts on the current generation Armada / Infiniti QX80

No, but it certainly would be nice if the Armada got the Patrol running gear aka beefier diffs and lockers

Thoughts on the current generation Armada / Infiniti QX80

The Armada runs the same front diff, R180, as the V6 R51 (2005-2012) Pathfinder. The rear diff is the R230 which was in the old Armada and V8 Pathys. The R180 have some known weaknesses/limitations but I haven't heard of any issues with the R230. @leeleatherwood 's build thread (Page 1, Post...

Xterra Pro4X Build - Offroad Adventuring

Nice find. What's your general plan beyond the tires and wheels for the build? Big fan of all those Zs! Also I just saw your instagram post about the Uprev tuner. I had no idea it was that effective on our VQ40s.

    r50 vs 1st gen xterra

Well then I would purchase the cleanest, best condition vehicle in your price range, X or R50. The Pathfinder is definitely more road oriented, stock and the X, "outdoorsy". Looking at this thread though I would hardly consider the Pathy unfit for modification.

    r50 vs 1st gen xterra

I think you won't go wrong with either. There are great builds of both platforms on here. If I was leaving NY and could wait to buy a vehicle, I would. Rust sucks.

    Canadians... What's it really like?

Given the Trudeau quote and my question, "twist the facts" is an interest choice of words. I find it disingenuous to act like a semi auto in 223 can only be used for killing people. That's patently false. I'm interested in how this all plays out for you all.

    Canadians... What's it really like?

“These weapons were designed for one purpose and one purpose only — only to kill the largest amount of people in the shortest amount of time,” Trudeau said. (https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/05/justin-trudeau-bans-all-assault-weapons-in-canada/) Isn't allowing some to continue to use...

2020 Frontier - Same body, new guts

Gladiator vs 2020 Frontier by TFL. TFL must have the only 2020 Frontier in existence. They make a couple comments about the crawl ratio although no specifics. Final comment "90% of the Gladiator for 60% of the cost."

'15 Frontier CC LWB, improvements for backcountry and roadtrips

I agree with modifying an existing hitch. Since you are modifying the mounting points, it wouldn't be necessary to purchase a Frontier hitch. Just one with a straight bar wide enough. I like the positioning of the first Taubenreuther vs the 2nd. I do like the idea of some auxiliary attachment...

'15 Frontier CC LWB, improvements for backcountry and roadtrips

Here is another example if you are going to build your own. https://www.thenewx.org/threads/mps-rockymtnx-factory-bumper-winch-mount.39914/ While many have the winch plate he did make one with a 2" receiver towards the bottom.

2020 Frontier - Same body, new guts

    I am not entirely sure on the transmission specs but Nissan is licensed to produce Daimler's 9 speed. If that's the 9 speed being used, these are its gear ratios 1st 5.3545 2nd 3.2432 3rd 2.2523 4th 1.6356 5th 1.2106 6th 1.00 7th 0.865 8th 0.7167 9th 0.6015 vs the RE5R05A 1st 3.842 2nd...
