Curious as to why you didn't go with the Falkens again. I've heard good things about them.

    New Defender Rage/Hate Thread

My question was just me pondering out loud. I really don't know what the reaction was to the coil vs spring debate on YJ / TJ's. I really never paid attention. Okay. I will give you the Jurassic Park YJ. I'd roll a replica in a heartbeat. In fact I think there is two around town here...

I've had great luck with the goodyear duratracs. Had them for 3 years now. They have the 3 peak Snow peak rating. Not sure if they would suit your purpose. They do hum at highway speed.

Did that not happen with the YJ to Tj Wrangler change as well? I don't know if people were up in arms about that? Wait, Jeep corrected their square headlight mistake with the TJ.

Okay. I was just saying the change between the series III and Defender wasn't as drastic as the change between the old Defender and the new one in my opinion regardless of the reasons. *edit.... 4 more pages!

Bump for 200... I don't know... using the pics from the article you posted, the series III to Defender comparison seems a lot closer than the Defender to new Defender: The article stated most of the body components from the series III were used on the Original Defender. 'Most of the body...

    Real world MPG/experiences

That's what I'm thinking too. A 6.2L with a 6 speed and a 7.3L with a 10 speed I'm thinking MPG wouldn't be terribly different. Now if Ford put the 10 speed behind the 6.2 I bet it wouldn't be that much different than my 5.0L with a 6 speed and 3:73's... Maybe. Purely speculating.

I'm partial to the stone grey myself. I thought the LX was your wifes DD?

That's easy. Trade the Grey LX for a blue one and get a red tremor and keep the white GX.
