Ambo door handles - rear door D-ring style

You're right, greasing would probably work. But either it was too seized or I was too impatient. Once I got it apart I'm not sure grease alone would have done the trick. I could barely move the parts with a hammer. So I took my Fein tool and cut about a 10" square hole into the inside of the...

Ambo door handles - rear door D-ring style

Well its been a busy spring and summer. Just had our first child in June after moving in March and starting a new job. So unfortunately since moving my truck has sat relatively idle. And in that idleness my rear door latch stopped working. It had begun to be a little difficult to work but...

    2000 Ford 7.3L Motovan build (225's build cont'd)

Nice bikes! Really want to ride the RSV4. Overall I've been pretty happy with my RSV. Really looking forward to planning another trip to the Smoky's. Here's my RSV I believe at Newfound Gap. Pretty sure I have some Dragon photos somewhere. I was into roadracing for a while and then got...

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Yeah after all I pulled apart I'm feeling pretty good its all back together and running. Definitely more involved than I hoped. Not sure if I had just tightened the line that was leaking if it would have fixed it. But hey I learned a few things along the way and only busted a couple knuckles.

    Disaster Relief Vehicle

That's pretty much what I ended up doing. Got a few things from etrailer and went at it. Used their #10 wire for hot lead and brake trigger. Under dash port gave me the brake signal to the controller. Had a controller from a previous truck and bought an adapter for plug in ease. The wires...

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Yeah after reading around that's what I found. Made me a little worried that my fuel pump or fuel bowl had a problem. Or that I screwed something up. Which technically I did. But once I found where that plug went I felt stupid and relieved.

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Ok so a couple more minutes of looking and I found it. Plugs in on the back of the HPOP reservoir. And guess what, no more rough running and white smoke!

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

That's what I thought too. Outside of the plug is standard filthy and inside looks clean. I bought new gaskets and bolts for the up pipes. Once it warmed up it looks like I might have a slight leak on one up pipe. The turbo to downpipe clamp was leaking. Took it off and it looks fine...

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Aaaaand I did something. Starts up fine. But now it's got a check engine light, idles and runs rough, lots of white smoke and no power. So my Sunday night consists of reading forums.

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Long story short, I got the fuel bowl replaced. Decided to remove the turbo. It might be possible with the turbo installed but much easier with it out of the way. Although removing the turbo was a fun little project all on its own. Realized it wasn't coming out without removing the up pipe...

    Disaster Relief Vehicle

So I've got the truck in the garage while I work on a fuel leak problem and wanted to revisit my trailer brake wiring. Anyone who has a Ford ambulance, have you found trailer wiring anywhere? I realize they're not made to tow but I figured the wiring would be on the cab/chassis from the factory.

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Well I kept pulling stuff off and I can finally access the driver side fuel hose. Had to pull the radiator hose, thermostat housing, vacuum pump and power steering pump bracket (that's what was in the way). Now that I've pulled the serpentine belt, thermostat, upper radiator hose...I'm...

Regulated fuel return? I don't know that one. Is that different than a remote location?

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

I'll find out in a couple days but I have a feeling I'm to have to pull the water pump.

    2000 Ford 7.3L Motovan build (225's build cont'd)

I only made it to Asheville once on my bike. Rode the Blue Ridge from Cherokee to Asheville and back one day. Made a stop this spring in the truck. It's a cool town. My buddy keeps talking about the Devil's Triangle. Is that north of Asheville?

    7.3 fuel leak...solved

Well I freed up some time and made a little more progress. Got the serpentine belt off. 15mm socket with a cheater pipe and I was able to move the tensioner. Then went after the alternator. Damn that does not come out easy. Just like you said Smurf, it barely comes out. Not looking forward...
