Sweet E-350 for sale Carlsbad, CA

I saw a very similar van that had a conveyor belt and x-ray in the back used at the border.

    GM 4.8?

My service van has the 4.8 with the 6 speed trans, I have it loaded up pretty good although I've never weighed it. Plenty of power for merging with traffic and the "hills" we have in Kansas. If I were pulling a trailer or loaded heavier I'd want the 6.0.

2003 Tundra/ 89 Skamper 080S inbed popup. questions about transmission fluid flush

I've read the back and forth of flush vs drain and fill vs letting er' eat etc. For my vehicles I do a filter change and drain and fills. Whatever you do a bigger transmission cooler should probably be on your list. Maybe one with a dedicated electric fan, seems like your troubles are low...

When did mountain biking become so specialized!

I picked up one of these, I really like the 27.5" coming from 26". Being tubeless ready and equipped with a dropper post helped my decision as well. It's not the most fun for long climbs but my only comparison is to a hard tail. There are probably similarly built bikes for less money but I...

    Factor 55? How about a Factor $9.99

I pondered all the options before arriving at a Flatlink on my truck. The hook that came with my Superwinch was a monster and looked a bit rediculous. I like the idea of just running a shackle but I was concerned it would damage the aluminum hawse over time. I see lots of people have the shackle...

Does it Exist? Newer AWD Tall-Wagon Van Thing You can Sleep In

I've been happy with the results from adding or upgrading just the rear sway bar on a few of my vehicles. Amazing what different load ratings and pressures on the tires will do for handling too. Seems like every higher mileage vehicle I've owned had oe shocks still, not sure how people live with...

    WTF is "skookum?"

His format is supposed to be like people sitting around a shop shooting the ****. Lighten up a little, he's acknowledged his lack of expertise quite frequently. Even going as far as following up in subsequent videos admitting to talking out his rear on a subject. I've gleaned some good...

    1st gen Tundra frames

I would suggest putting any truck you're considering purchasing on a lift and really look it over. I laid under mine with a flashlight at the dealer but have since found more rust than I'd like while doing maintenance etc. The way they rust when exposed to salt seems to be worse than other...

    Sumosprings?

I have them in the blue flavor on my Tundra, the stock leafs are pretty weak so they help quite a bit when loaded. The ride empty is firmer but nothing I can't live with.

Why are other full size SUV's not used in overlanding/offroading as often as Forerunner/Landcruiser?

Sounds like your friends have more money than brains. I feel sorry for people trying that hard to impress others.

Why are other full size SUV's not used in overlanding/offroading as often as Forerunner/Landcruiser?

You aren't in control of the thread fella. I can make a statement based off observations if I want, the thread has certainly meandered farther off topic than that. Seems a nerve has been struck regarding GM and their dangly bits (including full size models). I find the Lexus picture kind of odd...

Why are other full size SUV's not used in overlanding/offroading as often as Forerunner/Landcruiser?

Brand loyalty aside if you haven't noticed the stuff dangling off the frame and differential of some GM products I don't know what to tell you. Maybe they've gotten better but an Envoy or 1st gen Colorado had some parts not tucked high enough for my liking. If ALL fanboys weren't so blinded by...

Why are other full size SUV's not used in overlanding/offroading as often as Forerunner/Landcruiser?

I've parted many Toyota pickups and 4runners as well as a few domestics. It's amazing what 200k mile Toyota parts will go for especially on eBay. A good portion of the domestic parts go to scrap unfortunately.

    Diesel Heater Mods....

Water from a condensing type furnace, w.h, etc will corrode copper. I have a few calls a year from said problem.

    Diesel Heater Mods....

That was my first thought, copper certainly doesn't stand up to the condensate from a natural gas / propane furnace. I wasn't sure if diesel / kero combustion gases would have the same effect.

    F150 vs Tundra....I’ll make a decision tomorrow

Point being no company has the high ground. Fanboys and haters on all sides are beyond annoying.

    F150 vs Tundra....I’ll make a decision tomorrow

I wonder if they ever had Dana make their frames? At least Toyota made right by the people affected for the most part. Ford has issues that everyone knows about but will never get a recall. The ol 6.0 sure screwed a lot of people over.

92 E250 5.8 driving me insane, talk me out of selling it!

I forgot to mention mine at random would throw an unbelievable amount of codes. Somewhere ~15, one of which was a fault code for the PCM itself.

92 E250 5.8 driving me insane, talk me out of selling it!

I had the same van with very similar symptoms and replacing the Pcm took care of my problems. I see you had yours redone previously, mine had leaked bad enough and I needed the van so I bought a remanned unit.
