For sale. Home built camper for Tacoma, Chevy Colorado or...?

This could be used on any pickup or flat bed truck. When I used it on a Colorado I had to put a 3" spacer under it as the bed side walls on the Colorado are higher than the Tacoma. So I would just be a matter of setting it up to clear the cab height/bed side walls. Adding robust tie downs in...

The interior is designed so that everything could be removed from the inside without disturbing the exterior. you could actually fit a full size queen mattress if all the cabinets, water tank and sink were taken out and have storage under the bed.

Advice Needed:: To keep the Taco or not. Terrible economy.

Weight wise it's fine, this camper is only 600lbs. I added Timbren rubber springs to control side to side pitch. Read my writeup on those on the coloradofans forum. http://coloradofans.com/forums/193-2nd-gen-tires-wheels-suspension/324666-my-experience-using-timbren-ses-suspension-upgrade.html

Replaced my Tacoma with a new Colorado Duramax. Because the sidewalls are taller on this truck I had to put a 3" spacer under the camper.

    Building Camper for Small Pickups

Kiln dried 1x2s glued and screwed to the plywood. I cut the plywood to size then attached the 1x2s making panels that were then put together. I predrilled all the screw holes to avoid splitting the 1x2s. Used 1x3s and 1x4s where needed...

Running a slide in truck camper on flat trailer instead of in truck bed.

I move my camper around on my property on this trailer. Screwed 2x4's to the deck of the trailer, keeps it from sliding around and just use standard camper tie downs.

    Building Camper for Small Pickups

The plans I purchased through GlenL RV are for a cab over (link in post 1). I just modified them to suit what I wanted to build. I'm thinking of building a cab over for my next truck.
