Anyone have an awning with a sunrider? Any issues with folding it back and hitting the awning?

    Waterport, what am I missing?

Completely agree with the advantages of the shrader valve. Even if we ignore the fact it can be used with a compressor I can also look how much pressure is in it with a tire gauge that’s already in my Jeep. Wish I could do that with my rinse kit. I am playing around with the different setups...

    Waterport, what am I missing?

I’ll have to soap and bubble the fittings because I lost about 15psi in 4hrs. Filled it to 45 with the hose and it was 30 when I just went to use it. I’m not saying it’s bad I may need to just dial it in and iron out some stuff. I have a portable compressor and was going to move to an arb...

    Waterport, what am I missing?

I have Had a Rinse Kit for the last couple of years and I have enjoyed it. I decided to get a waterport as I can mount it externally and it’s more capacity. However after getting it and without doing a side by side test I feel like I’m missing the draw. I do like how it’s a large capacity...

Winch wiring (Anderson and gator clips)

Anderson on jumper cables to jump is genius. Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll scrap that idea and go forward with Anderson only.

Winch wiring (Anderson and gator clips)

Appreciate the feedback. Didn’t know about the gator clip limitations. So your suggestion is to just splice in some gator clips from the wiring direct to the battery. Then connect as needed.

Winch wiring (Anderson and gator clips)

Planning my winch wiring and kicking around a few ideas. I'm curious if anyone has an experience with this particular idea. Instead of wiring a switch into it I was debating of running an Anderson connector to essentially some jumper cable gator clips. I'd keep the battery gator clip section...

    Front Runner Modular Awning

Anyone have any experience with the modular awning? Can't find much info on it or photo's/video's of people using it. https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/camping-gear/front-runner-modular-awning.html

    How often do you disconnect?

awesome convo's everyone. I have disco'd for harder trails but dirt roads I usually leave it connected. The pain is when the dirt road becomes a harder trail. Might try and just disconnect everytime there is dirt. I have quick disco's anyway. Have you seen the JKS links that have the coil in...

recommendations for a portable air compresor

This is what I have in the back of my Jeep to fit the M240. https://www.retrofitoffroad.com/shop/jk-jeep-wrangler-2007-2015/morryde-ammo-can-carrier-jp54-030/

    Flexopower Supports Expedition Portal!

Pretty sure their USA site is gone, no one ever answered or got back to anyone from the USA side. They just let most of their customers in the dark for their LED issue. I had to randomly find a number contact from their main location (South Africa). That guy I talked to from S.A. was super...

Besides MaxTraxx, what traction boards/mats do you use?

I bought a set of GoTreads and they have treated me well for recovery and leveling. I think I paid for $100 for a pair and they folder under the seat in my Jeep. I chose them for the compact storage footprint.

Where is your first aid kit mounted?

Mine is on the back of the passenger seat headrest.

How much do you cram into your roof?

Pretty much nothing goes up there except a solar panel or a canoe. However, since I sleep in my Jeep I put the totes inside up on the roof overnight.

    How often do you disconnect?

Meant disconnecting sway bar, sorry for the confusion. However disconnecting from the world while traveling is also a must.

recommendations for a portable air compresor

Completely agree with this. I run the same thing and I store it in an ammo can holder inside my JKU. It's awesome, I use it for a ton of stuff besides tires as well.

    How often do you disconnect?

Whenever I start heading out I always go back and forth on disconnecting or not disconnecting. Curious how often you guys disconnect before heading out on some overland travel. Obviously if you are rock crawling or tackling some gnarly terrain you do but what about all the other times. I...

Are WJs good enough for light overland towing?

I had an 04 with the v8 and it was awesome. Also got amazing gas mileage for what it was (19 hand calculated). I would go v8. Mine wasn’t the HO but still had plenty of power.

JKU / JLU as a family travel vehicle

I have them with two kids in car seats and they are a breeze. Best "dad mod" I ever did. My kids are 6 and 4 and we take it everywhere. Fridge in the back driver side and everything else goes on the right. If we're going for a long trip and something doesn't fit inside it goes on the rack in...
