Heh thank you for the response. I'm looking at the bottom mounts on the stock shocks. Totally different than what you find on the fox shocks. I don't think the fox shocks will work on the front
Fox does make a clevis mount for the bottom. I think the shock that fits the front of our vans is...
I think the two biggest adavntages you will get by upgrading to a Transit (AWD or Quigley) is the ability to have more headroom with a medium or high roof, a longer van with extended versions, and the ability to carry more weight with a 3/4 or 1 ton van. You will likely get a little better gas...
A couple of my thoughts on the rear swing outs. I have been thinking about this for a while for mine.
If you are planning a side mount ladder (similar to Alumness) you could incorporate the rear ladder rail into the swing out hing mounts that bolt to the rear door hinges.
Instead of latches to...
I have a 5" lift (3" suspension and 2" body lift) I am running 25mm offset wheels, but have 1" wheel spacers so essentially a 0mm offset wheel. I have barn style doors, I don't think my wheel setup would work with an unmodified slider door (especially with a factory inside door panel).
I have not been able to determine the difference with active brake control. But it is likely something to do with measuring the steering wheel position.
Do a search on car-part.com you will find the right column used.
On mine no other parts were required just the dealer flash. I did swap in a tilt column at the same time, but it is not required for cruise control.
The air bag attaches to the steering wheel so the existing one will go on the new steering wheel.
I am not sure if it possible, but after...
Zuren did a 1” bodylift, here is his build thread.
I did a 2” on mine details near the beginning of my thread.
