    Paint color to avoid heat

If I am remembering correctly, big if. Black will absorb heat faster but it also will release heat faster with any sort of wind. If sitting still the black car will get hotter but not so when moving. Put another way, a black car will always be hotter or the same as a white, certainly never...

    Possible Sequoia in my future

I am considering the Sequoia as well but will most likely go for a GX. I need to sell my truck first but here are two in San Diego that look like good buys. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/san-diego-2006-toyota-sequoia-limited/6998308424.html...

6 Family EMP Proof 36-38' Expedition Rig

I’m with ya. If it ever comes to that , I’m going sailboat shopping at the marina. Hopefully find a steel Waterline or maybe even a Gunboat, 45ft range.

Can’t decide between GX470 and Sequoia

You guys are killing me. I just decided to go GX and the support for the Sequoia comes up. These two have me thinking the Sequoia is a better value. https://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/d/san-diego-2006-toyota-sequoia-limited/6996318611.html...

    Gluing to plastic

I’m going to have to look into it. I’ve tried everything off the shelf at west marine and then some. A plastic expert told nothing works very well with HDPE. According to the stat sheet from innerduct it’s not all that strong but plenty strong for most applications...

    Gluing to plastic

How well does it stick? I have never found any worth a lick that will stick to HDPE. Plastic welding is kind of fun though.

One more for today....F-250 to get MONSTER V-8 in 2020

I think they did an off-road test or something too and who knows when it was reset. They better hope that is not indicative of real mpg or they will be breaking a lot of hearts. Actually it has 236 miles. You sure that is a hobs meter and not a clock? Tank shows full with 228 miles til...

Can’t decide between GX470 and Sequoia

That rear door is really strange, and looks like the window doesn't open? I think, I could make up for the cargo space by mounting stuff to the strange GX door. Then again, a swing out bumper rack on the Toyota could work too.

Can’t decide between GX470 and Sequoia

I’m selling the massive 7.3 f350 and I am considering doing something I said I will never do, buy another Toyota. Long story but I had a 3.0 toyota with nothing but problems and a Tacoma that burst into flames with me in it. I don’t tow my boat much anymore, ditched the camper for a tent, so...

Feds to open Utah’s national parks to ATVs

It is madness. We don’t have them in Encinitas, yet, but I’m blown away every time I go into San Diego. The type of people that just leave it in the sidewalk when they are done are probably not the type of people to pack anything out.

Feds to open Utah’s national parks to ATVs

That’s not nearly as fun as imagining them blasting through the Narrows knocking people out of their Crocs.

That should make the hike up to Angles landing interesting.

Trail use conflicts: the solution is real simple.

Close, use your nose instead and take a trip to the Oooooh-zone. “Oh, ozone Before the rain begins, one of the first odors you may notice as winds pick up and clouds roll in is a sweet, pungent zing in your nostrils. That's the sharp, fresh aroma of ozone—a form of oxygen whose name comes...
