So I've joined the club, and now need some help!

Finally got round to fitting the super singles! No trimming needed at all in the end, and no touching anywhere even on lock... not bad! Also made up a few eye hooks to strap spares to the tray as an interim solution. Cruise rpm is heaps improved compared to the old wheels, and the...

Yeah was touch and go there for a bit, I picked up an FG434 that I thought might become the project truck.. but decided aircon and other mod cons meant that the newer one was the keeper! Going to hold on to the FG434 as it's got the crane to help with lifting off trays etc and then sell it once...

So I've joined the club, and now need some help!

Was lucky enough to pick up some r16 super singles off gumtree last week with some pretty reasonable condition 9.00r16 XZLs! Pretty excited to get these mounted up and see the difference. Anyone know who made these or are they trucksupersingles earlier efforts?

I have a question regarding the pop top roof if you don't mind :) How are you doing the connection seal between the roof and body? Are you running one of the pop top extrusion profiles that are around or custom making the seal design yourself? It's the last decision I have in the construction...

Ok they're all MUCH better suggestions! I think a bit of wrapping with eiher poly or heavy rubbber will do the trick. I've decided to get some new ones instead of repairing them, came in at only about 10% cost difference in the end.

Fuso Frame drawing on Google Sketchup

I've been using this for a while now: https://www.onshape.com/products/free It's a fully fledged engineering cad package that is free if you don't mind your models being public. I've been a chromebook user so didn't have the grunt to run a local package, this worked a treat with the same...

Sweet I'll give the repair option a look first! On another note, has anoyone cut a notch in the cross member (I know I know not a great idea) and bent it down to allow for the cable to run freely?

So, in with the NEW injector as the old one was to flogged our to repair apparently! It fired up instantly and ran like a top on all four cylinders.... so after all that a simple injector switch and bled the lines up and away it went. Back to normal sluggish highway speed :) So now the next...

So an interesting update! I had enough time to get up to Horsham and spend some time properly diagnosing what was happening. spent a while bleeding everything and checking the fuel supply right up to the pump to make sure it was clear and all looked fine. Started checking where things were...

That will definitely complicates things a bit, the guy from the Rocklea Truck parts seemed to think that there was a 4D34T without an ECU from an earlier model canter. I'll give him a call and see what he says and let you'll know. I'm pulling the existing pump out today to get it looked at...

Yeah correct, figured it could be an option for a modest sum more than the pump if the change over was hassle free. I was looking at adding a turbo to the 33 anyways so hanging to the 34 would potentially kill two birds with one stone. I’m relatively new to these trucks so not sure if there’s...

So I've joined the club, and now need some help!

So after driving a Troopy from Australia to Germany I decided I need a bit more space for the new rig! After looking around I settled on the FG canter. After watching a few different FGs sell I bit the bullet and picked up a 2002/3 FG637 from Perth last week and drove it (almost) back to...

    2001 HZJ78 Landcruiser Pop Top

2001 HZJ78 Landcruiser Troopcarrier. We’ve just driven this vehicle 68,000km from Australia to Germany and were considering continuing but that plan has unfortunately not panned out. This Troopy has flawlessly brought us here, we’ve had zero major mechanical issues on the drive. Only...

    trackOverland - Australia to Europe

Hi Latetom! That sounds like an epic Aus lap you did! We will be doing a whole lot more once we're back here as well. We just let the departure slip a bit and the timing to hit Mongolia in May kept it short unfortunately... For China you don't need a driver, just a guide. They now organise a...

    Kimberly Kruiser

I reckon one of these with a forward fold (which folds backwards) would be an awesome rig! especially if you could jack it off when needed! With the removal of the storage box of course, it'd be a good length without it and a good setup!

    trackOverland - Australia to Europe

Hello Expo! I have been reading heaps of the travel reports on here for many years of which many helped form the realisation we should be out there doing this as well! So I thought I'd add our own to share our big overland trip. So what started with a bit of a beer dream has turned into a...

    Troopy (re)Build

Hi redthies! We're containering from Brisbane to Cambodia at the start of December after a couple of months around Australia. The original plan was Malaysia but Thailand changed all the rules for campers and generally hates overlanders so we now have to ship into Cambodia. From Cambodia onto...
