And all F150s are aluminum bodies after 2015?

Yes.

Another data point, FWIW: I bought my F-150 in another state (UT) so when I brought it to Colorado to register, I was required to get a weight slip. I pulled everything out of the truck and I think it had a half tank of gas. It did have the topper on it (if I'd have known I needed a weight slip I would have gotten one in the 3 - 4 weeks it took for them to build and ship the topper but I didn't find out until the day AFTER the topper was put on.)

Gross weight with the topper was 5445 lbs. If you figure that the cab-high topper is probably 200lbs that is about 5250. With the 7000lb GVWR package that gives it a cargo capacity of about 1750 lbs.

That must be specific to your county. We bought our truck in Texas and drove it back to Colorado. All I had to do was a VIN verification.

I like the 6.2 but it's going to be a lot more thirsty. My buddy had one with 35s. It got 12 MPGs. It was a fun truck.

My old 2012 F150 3.5L specs:

365 HP @ 5,500
420 TQ@ 2,500

Direct Injected Design

2018+ 3.5L's have 10 more hp at 500 lower rpm and 55 more TQ!

Bought my F150 3.5 Ecoboost new in 2016. Overall fuel mileage with around 54,000 miles on the odometer - calculated by an Excel spreadsheet and not figures from the lie-o-meter in the dash - is 20.9 mpg. Never been in the shop for any reason - rotate tires and change the oil is all I've done. I love driving diesels because of all the low-end torque, not having to shift down on hills, and this 3.5 Eco engine is the closest thing I've found in a gas engine to a diesel.

And as far as sound - the only sound I want to hear when driving my truck is whatever music I have on the stereo. Spare me the engine and exhaust noise!

Funny that you ask that. I just got the "customer satisfaction" letter for my 2018 3.5 EB Canadian-spec (XTR) CCSB.

I never got the "rattle" that some people mention but I'm going to have the repair done anyway.
Its a software update not a repair. As far as I can tell it delays the cold start 2-3 cycles/ turn overs before starting. Likely to improve oil pre feed before starting. Not really noticeable given it starts so quickly anyway. Took about 30 minutes to get the update done at the dealer.

the old raptor 6.2L sounds best be cool if that was an option in a new truck...
They were nose heavy and broken front ends is the typical boy racer wanabe failure. Ford went on a weight reduction program for the front end since and it’s starting to show positive results. Lighter more power is always good

While just looking around online at used F150, there is a good price difference between the 2.7L trucks and the 3.5L trucks

The 3.5L is an upgrade compared to the 2.7L, so it does cost more, but a lot of times the 2.7L will have fewer options while the 3.5L will be the more heavily optioned model (for example, the max tow package and all that other stuff). So that's the other reason why you'll see the 3.5L models cost more in general.
