One of my CJ8 jeeping buddies and I have used either Pep Boys Plasticote Sand-#1114, or Rustoleum 'Sand' from Home Depot. We've gone thru at least 30 rattle cans over the last 20 years. The original paint on both our CJ8's was called 'Jamaica Beige' and the above was close enough. We've rolled these rigs maybe 20 times (different times together) and made less and less difference over the years. Everything then was just a touch-up.
regards, as always, jefe

Jefe,
Do y'all recommend the Rust-Oleum Camouflage Sand (263653) or the Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Gloss Sand (7771830)?Ultra-Flat Sand Pic.jpgGloss Sand Pic.jpg

Hilariously I just went into my dealer to order a spray can of Sahara Tan for my 2011 Rubicon to touch up a few places.

There are no cans in all of Canada, and only 11 in the US. He said he'll try to get one, but the parts system may just cancel the order.

It sounds like I'll be going to the local paint store for a color match.
My paint code is PFD if that helps anyone.

Quadratec have the real Mopar can, but they won't ship it to me in Canada :(

I used some of this for a 2002 Tacoma and it matched fine FWIW.
