I fashioned a tablet mount out of a sheet of kydex, it's attached to the dashboard bezel with some premium 3M double stick. I'm using a 7" Galaxy Tab A and have it positioned right above the double-din DVD player I shoehorned in the dash (moved the air controls down about 3/8" / 1cm, got a 2003+ bezel from the auto scrapyard.

And here's after the stereo / entertainment unit change

If you like that mount style and your trip is far enough off, I could make you one fairly quickly that is a close fit for your tablet. Just dip the tab ends in very hot water or use a hair dryer or heat gun and shape the tabs to hold your tablet firmly. Just pay me back for the shipping and a couple bucks for the plastic after you get it.

Packed my tool roll tonight. Its a Gary's tactical (Amazon) tool roll that is identical knock of of the Atlas 46. Unfortunately I couldn't see where it was worth $150, this one was $36. In the roll there is 2lb hammer, 3/8" & 1/2" breaker bars. The large flat pocket has large wrenches that wouldn't fit under the flap on the back. Next pocket has all my 1/4" sockets, ratchet, extensions, breaker bar, and screwdriver set. Next pocket has 1/2" sockets, ratchet, extension, next has 3/8" stuff, last pocket has electrical and miscellaneous, tape butane soldering iron, solder, roll of wire, crimps/wire strippers. I put a couple of shop towels over the hammer and tighten it all down. The hammer and extensions can't be pulled out when tight.20200213_011012.jpg20200213_011034.jpg20200213_011055.jpg20200213_011151.jpg20200213_011211.jpg20200213_011255.jpg20200213_011344.jpg20200213_011504.jpg20200213_011836.jpg20200213_013734.jpg

Thanks rayra but the trip is Saturday, I'm going into the city Friday and should be able to pick something up then. I picked up small track tonight from academy sports in the kayak section but they where out of ram ball mounts.

over the stereo is working real nice for a tablet for me. I'm 6' and it doesn't cause me any visual obstruction at all, I can still see the hood and passenger fender edge over top of the 7" tablet. Too if you wanted to play a movie or some other entertainment of have a front passenger involved in Nav stuff, you'll want it where they can view and access it. vs the driver a-pillar etc.

Drilled some more holes in the bezel.. not my favorite thing to do. I also mounted some 3m tape on the back to help the 4 bolts. I hope I don't have to pull it off I think the tape will pull the paint off the bezel. 20200213_221836.jpg20200213_222128.jpg20200213_222149.jpg
