It looked more like, "removing the positive battery terminal should always be the first thing you do", to me.

I’ve always removed the negative terminal first to avoid the possibility of sparks/explosions if the wrench bumps the body. On a 7.3 there are two batteries to disconnect... on an Ambo, as many as 4 before it’ll be safe.

Any more info on what type of truck that is? Was it a bus of some type? What front bumper is that? etc.
