Fridge slide arrived in the mail. Just need to mount it in properly for the cooler.

My trailer was exactly the same as your's. It's the LTT made by Schutt Industries. You can make them the same width as a Jeep but it takes a lot of time, work, money and reengineering. Mine has the same track width now as my Jeep JK.

Here is a Silver Eagle LTT with a camper box that I saw last week, at the Overland Expo East. Nice rig! He was pulling it behind an FJ Cruiser and told me it weighed around 2500#. I removed a good bit of weight from mine.

Wilco hitchgate solo

Added a spare tire swing from wilco. Just waiting on the matching wheel and tire. Fits great. Very solid. Eric at wilco was a big help. Answered my many questions.

After lots of great trips with this set up. Decided to change the trailer up a bit. Stayed with the platform. But took the rack off and sold the RTT. Found a used AT Habitat sized for a Tacoma and made some modifications to the trailer. IMG_20181027_150146_667.jpgIMG_20181027_141721_081.jpg

3 - Any thoughts yet comparing the Habitat vs. the original CVT solution? Not focusing just on the sleeping arrangement but on the overall trailer/tent solutions overall....

Thanks! Been a work in progress, changing things as I use it and find better/different solutions.
Current weight is just under 2000 pounds I believe, but I m going to take it to a weigh station and see for sure. Trailer was 1260 pounds on its its own, with run flat hummvee wheels/tires and the pintle hitch. I removed those and shaved a bit of weight, but added the Wilco and the box probably bringing it back up to 1400 pounds. The CVT tent was the big one at just over 200 pounds, plus the annex that was stored in the trailer, so roughly 250 pounds. the AT Habitat is only 100 pounds more at 340 pounds, so not a huge difference to get a fully enclosed system. It should sit at about 2000 pounds with fridge, drawers and storage, without water/fuel and food and extra gear. The drawer systems that I added are all aluminum so are very light. I can easily move it around by myself at camp or in the driveway.

I loved the CVT tent, we used it a lot over three seasons and never had a issue. Guys at CVT are alway great for answering questions and helping with any needed part. Sleep wise they are both similar in comfort. I just really wanted to have everything enclosed so that I could leave everything in the trailer ready to go, and have it all secure on trips. I liked the annex for storing gear and getting changed etc, but it was a bit of work to set up and you are on the ground. The AT is great for that off the ground space to get ski boots off etc and have a heater going to dry gear off. With the storage drawers etc, they act as benches to sit if we are stuck in a rain storm. Both systems set up quickly. Biggest thing with the AT is that I don't have covered storage at home, the enclosed system is perfect for security, and the metal casing keeps the tent dry no matter what the weather with stored. Also like that now my camp kitchen, dry food storage and fridge can all stay packed and I can just leave when I want to go on a trip.

I'll share more photos when I get some. Working on the lighting as we speak and then it should be set for a while.
