I started out with RTT opening to the side of my stock rims and tires trailer that I made. Then I upgraded my trailer by putting matching jeep rims and tires on and rotated the RTT to open over the tongue of trailer.

Nice lookimg set-up.

Does that means that you have to unhitch every time you want to open the tent?

No the tongue on trailer is 6” longer then the fold out of the RTT and the ball on the hitch is even with the back of spare tire. The trailer need to be straight behind the Jeep to open the RTT.

Ok, but you have to lift the tent or unhook the trailer to open the rear gate. Or jack knife the jeep and trailer.

But if it works for you, this is great! :)
